Going GREEN Sustainability Lecture - Embracing Renewable Energy: Conroe ISD's Plan - Shared screen with speaker view
Hi Easy! Speaking of buses, is Conroe investigating electric buses that might be able to be powered by the panels?
I teach in Houston ISD--is Leaf Engineers open to working with other districts?
Cleaning panels annually, what products are used? Do you have a contractor come in, or handle by maintenance on site:
What is the payback time for the cost of the program v electrical savings and electricity payback?
Leaf and PBK do work with HISD
Have you tried to integrate the solar arrays into math, science, and shop classes?
Are similar projects in the works in HISD?
Debra: CISD has a 5 year maintenance agreement with the installer
Hi, great presentation! I'm an urban and regional planning student at TAMU. Was wondering if there were any complications with zoning or the comprehensive plan (or incentives) in utilizing the solar panels. Additionally are there any considerations to retroactively incorporate solar arrays at preexisting campuses? Thanks!
As a residential solar user for last 1.5 years, just trying to gather some ideas on best practices to keep clean, performing at high capacity.
Lawrence: CISD is integrating it into the classroom
How did you make your decision on which PV system provider to purchase from? Were they from the Conroe/Houston area?
Do you offer guided tours to the public upon request?
Any problems with critters- squirrels tree rats chewing thru panel wires? And hail, wind damage to panels? Experience both in first year of residential solar with a forested community, critter problems.
correction: Woodlands does not use zoning but perhaps issues with covenants
thank you for very educational program.
Thank you for the presentation!
