We are using Newspack as our CMS developers, are we eligible for the grant in terms of being able to apply those funds against Newspack’s ongoing maintenance costs or do we have to identify new development costs to be eligible for the grant?

28:37
To be clear, are fiscally sponsored non-profits eligible?

28:44
Yes Madeleine!

28:49
Great, thanks

29:29
can funds be applied to connecting CRM to our CMS?

29:40
To contact News Revenue Hub with any questions: hello@fundjournalism.org

29:55
Would it be less competitive if we need funds for contracting out? We are have a database that is fine, but we need to build out the major donor tracking function. I think we need a specialist for that (i.e. we can’t do it ourselves.)

30:13
Are any of the reports or case studies from the successful applicants last year available?

30:17
Can the grant be used to have staff migrate content and assist the developer in designing the new site and moving it to a CMS?

31:09
Great, thank you

31:48
We just upgraded our CMS can this grant be used to reimburse us for the cost?

32:50
This is really helpful! Thanks for doing this.

33:25
We are also using Newspack as our CMS, as well. Could this grant be used for staff (or contractor) time to do the work of audience/revenue building, using existing software tools that we have? Or is it more geared toward building out new tools?

33:51
Is there any expectation around the size of the organization or its audience for selected newsrooms?

33:59
if we are upgrading to a newer version of the same CMS is that considered a migration or an improvement?

34:15
Does anyone recommend other CMS systems for those of us who are living in a very antiquated world?

34:15
Can you post the link to the blog to see strong applications from last year?

34:18
If we receive a grant but then realize we need different tools, can we adjust the scope of work and the budget post-award?

34:26
That’s really helpful, thank you!

34:29
Will NRH help with advice to raise more $$ from our website?

I just tried to sign up on the landing page for updates and got this message: It appears your submission was successful. Even though the server responded OK, it is possible the submission was not processed. Please contact the developer of this form processor to improve this message. Learn More

Thank you, Christina!

36:45
Is the grant period flexible? Is it possible to back date the grant to when the decision/announcement is made? Or does it have to start in July?

36:55
We are planning on releasing an in-depth resource guide for our community, and we want this to have its own website (but we’d be using the same CMS as we use for our original website). We see this as an enhancement/improvement, would we still be eligible?

37:47
Many thanks! Gotta hop on another call, but I’ll keep an eye out.

39:31
Thank you!

39:37
Thank you!

39:43
Thank you very much
