How much of you is in Serena

as an only child, born and raised in Manhattan, this is so close and so real and makes my heart race remembering being that age, sitting on stoops, and in restaurants and falling in love

I really laughed at points. So tender..

beautiful the pauses the slow walk with a tender beginning. no morsel. big love

And the sounds and noise in the restaurants - and oh - the food! Such delicious descriptions!

he seems to have all the control. is that what you meant?

“Healing the underpinnings” - a lovely phrase from Leo - is that part of what draws the two of them together? It is such a delicate yet fragile way to describe a connection.

I love the spaciousness around Serna's voice - the mystery and depth of her

Last sentence in book - “…amidst the flowers and warmth, in a world of birth and passion, loss and misery and renewal, uncertainty and impermanence, the begin… to plan their wedding.

These two readings, so complimentary and somehow inter dimensionally connected in the continuum of time and women’s experience .

It’s “they begin” that’s the moving instant

So much vulnerability in your characters and what is revealed and hidden as you said. The way you use your hands as you speak Julie is amazing to watch. And then the way you placed your characters hands first touching was breath-taking.
