Choose your profit goal for the year. Divide by 12 to get monthly profit goal. (Your take home $.)Add up all your expenses for the month. This will give you your monthly expenses total.Add your monthly profit goal to your monthly expenses. This will give you your monthly revenue target. (Your total sales for the month.)Find your average price for your products or services. (Choose a number in the middle.)Divide your monthly revenue target by your average price. This will give you your initial sales goal.Evaluate feasibility. If this is possible with current expenses, great! If not, re-evaluate expenses, scale where needed and adjust monthly revenue target. Then divide by average price to get new sales goal to meet scaled up business needs.

From a business standpoint - is it better to hire employees or bring people onboard as contractors when scaling the business? For example, I provide organizing services and my business depends on client projects which aren't always consistent. But I want to scale my business so I figured hiring contractors would be the first step. Any insight?

As an organic tea company anticipating growth, what are the panelists' experience with vetting or working with manufacturing companies? If my tea formulas are trademarked, does that legally protect the formulas? Also, I have an interest in selling my products in large retail stores like Wholefoods, Harris Teeter, Walmart, Target, etc. In your opinion, what’s the best way to enter into these markets?

For those who are interested in Virtual Assistants, I have two businesses to refer you to. I feel that they are affordable and their turnaround time on completing certain tasks are impeccable. But I also setup an agenda for us when we connect and have them track the work once they're completed . Just let me know.

I do Social Media Marketing and I assist on creating content…. During the holiday season, I provided my assistant with tasks of sending Holiday newsletters and content. They were unable to assist due to their religion. I never asked as I was uncomfortable but I also felt bad that I provided the tasks not knowing their religious background…. So that area is a bit gray.
