Is there a way to access this for the YPAC members whose companies are not currently a member of the CEPA?
Does the PCS consider technical competencies only? Just wondering whether something like say, communication skills would be included or is separate?
How to Educational/course providers be listed into this system?
Is there an expectation that these competencies will be adopted by all companies or regulators?
Is this somehow related to APEGA Competency Assessment for PEng application?
How does this competency system align with the relevant engineering professional excellence/competency programs?
Can you share an example of an existing competency standard?
My apologies if you have already addressed this, but assuming that CEPA companies (and others) will fully adopt the PCS, it is then reasonable to assume they will require their Engineering suppliers to also comply. Can you estimate when those requirements will be passed along to the engineering suppliers? Adequate timing will be needed to allow us to comply.
what does PECS-Can stand for. Sorry - I am not familiar with this acronym.
Do the competency standards make any mention of the Operator Qualification (OQ) Tasks that API and PHMSA abide by in the US? Or are the competency standards only applicable to Australia and Canada?
Thanks for the great questions
Are there any others?
I find determining competencies can be a bit of an art and science and sometimes not easy. What did you find was the biggest obstacle in developing the PCS?
Is CEPA currently assessing competency system of its member companies according to new PCS system?
If a company doesn't have individuals competent in a particular area, do they need to bring in an industry expert to determine that they are competent?
Have you had any feedback from regulators on this yet?
Does tool give recommendations to hire people if there are competency gaps in an organization based on group assessment?
how about from regulators in Australia?
