Monroe County Covid-19 Coalition Meeting - Shared screen with speaker view
Who can see your viewing activity?
We will start in the next 1-2 minutes while we wait for folks to join the call. Thank you.
I've had a request from the Letter Carriers for face masks as well, and put them in touch with the Quilter's Guild group
You can temporarily unmute your microphone by pressing the space key and keep it pressed for as long as you are speaking.
What about gloves? Are those available?

Lots of people still playing tennis and basketball.
Regarding tennis and basketball… I believe we are still allowing tennis for the time being but we have disabled all city basketball hoops. Please let us know if you see people playing. Bear in mind that not every basketball court in town is controlled by our parks department.
Request for massage chairs for IUHB caregivers...
Mary Ann, is IU Health looking at hotel rooms for staff?
Chamber has contact at mall - i'll follow up.
Thank you, Mary Ann.
There are some national news reports on hospitals struggling for resources - financial or equipment.
How is IUH doing?
Do you need anything else from us?
I think some Chiropractors have massage chairs. Also Serenus Float has chairs, too, I think.

Hi Jen- We are very strong financially and tracking as "Green" on equipment with no immediate needs or barriers.
That’s great news, thanks Mary Ann.
Question for K-12 system: how are teachers and staff holding up? Is there additional support needed from the community?
heard back from our supply person at our Emergency Operations Center, they said for now (until the request form is created), email AVPpsia@iu.edu and describe the product they need and the quantity - thanks!
Is there a central point of contact to share information with this group between meetings? I want to be able to share information about the Allison Jukebox mask making project once I have the details.
Question for MCCSC and RBB, how does the statement issued by the Governor last Wednesday re insurance for childcare centers impact the school system’s liability when it comes to opening up the schools for childcare for essential workers?
Question for Tina and philanthropic sector: on the national economic development front, we’re seeing trends in how frontline workers and less advantaged communities are bearing the brunt of the crisis. This may be a longer conversation, but how can we continue link our efforts to alleviate the burden on these parts of our community?
Do we know what is happening to cover medical expenses for people who have lost their jobs and access to health insurance?
