It is just for your information, in Mexico City my brother in law got the first doses of Astra Zeneca vaccine and after 3 weeks he got the Gillian Barre Syndrome.

Are other countries giving people vaccine cards so sites in the US can check those dates for people coming into the country if they are receiving a 2nd dose in US?

India is giving certificates of completion with the dates and vaccine information with lot #. We are entering these into MCIR as historical doses, and giving them a CDC vaccine card with the doses on it. Is the best option?

Best place to find guidance for those who had first dose but have gone past 6 weeks for second dose.

If they receive mRNA dose 1 in another country, is it necessary to continue on the mRNA side for dose 2 in US? Or just what's available where they present?

Michigan Veteran Homes is reporting to MICR and sending to MICR to the VA health with members when they go for appointmetns

Are we anywhere near where we need to be to have the officially approved (outside of EUA)? There are FY 2023 quality measures coming under the Proposed Final Rule on vaccine administration for health care personnel for COVID-19 vaccine.

VA does not report to MCIR but we are working with them in hopes to get their data. Please report doses administered by the VA to your patients as Historical doses.

So that would mean that at walk up clinics they pull a MCIR on everyone? Do all clinics do this?

I recall the State's medical director indicating those departments were swamped and understaffed for those calls with the recent surge. Perhaps they can get back to it with the counts coming back down. They recommended use of MI COVID Alert app on phones.

ok... the concern is coming from the patients notifying our office that " someone else is calling them about their test results." wanting to assist with the feeling of " mistrust"

I have a friend who works for MDHHS as a case investigator. The state is calling positives. I believe it's when the LHJ can't reach the person.

yes MCIR is updated with doses reported. Need to be diligent to be sure when seeking a record to perform multiple searches to locate records.
