How are institutions changing their marketing strategies for Autumn 2020 and early 2021 recruitment?

Do you give international students the opportunity to start in the second semester (next year)?

How many Universities are delaying their start dates and how long is the delay?

We have two intakes per year, so there could be a shift of applicants for spring 2021.

We plan to start two weeks later, but will see what reality will be.

At Radboud University, NL, we don't plan a later start. For most studies the start is in September, no possibility to start in February.

We (at KdG, Antwerp, Belgium) have taken everything online, including language testing, Webinars, open days, and teaching

We are also considering to delay some programs and start them in the second semester.

Pushed back deadlines for a month + added online language tests & certificates rather than diplomas

Does somebody know good online tests for Physics, Chemistry and Math? Please mail to io@science.ru.nl

University of Stavanger, Norway, starts mid-August. We have not yet discussed a delayed semester start. But we are discussions having online classes this autumn.

At Schiller International University, we are using blended collaborative classes for our students. What do other universities are doing to insure educational continuity?

1st year students in Ireland will definitely be starting later, possibly late October instead of the beginning of September due to the delay in the Leaving Certificate Examination which is now starting on 29th July instead of the beginning of June.

Exactly. The Asian partner universities of Asia Exchange has also extended their application deadlines for autumn even until end of July.And students can choose online if needed.Universiti Putra Malaysia postponed their semester start from Sep to Oct for all students to ensure it would be possible to join.

The decision to delay will always be programme based, in some cases we could start on-line and then proceed to classroom teaching.

At Kühne Logistics University we have switched completely online. Since we have a large international student population we will have a cohort starting online and on schedule in the fall, and one on campus (if possible).
