I work with an educator who shares the CASEL core competencies with students. When she models the competencies she brings attention to her actions. For example, “I am practicing goal setting by…..” She also identifies SEL skills she sees students exhibiting and ties her observations back to the CASEL core competencies and the specific SEL skill she’s observing in the student(s).
