If you don’t know the indigenous land where you reside on, you can look it up here: https://native-land.ca/

Ohio went for Trump!!

26:54
Zapotec, in Oaxaca, Mexico

28:33
it compares us to Myanmar, which of course just suffered a military coup

30:42
What are the grounds for arresting the protesters in DC?

32:51
Ohio's redistricting is only for 4 years.

43:18
shocker!

43:44
facebook is a cancer on the planet

45:21

45:27
Jan 10

48:42
Clark County is down by Vancouver...

51:34
Yes, Vancouver!

51:36
What went wrong?

51:44
what's up w/the maps the committee passed on after they failed to meet their deadline--are those on the level & they really just missed the timing, or something else?

51:45
will the supreme court create a fair map?

51:57
What does the agreed on but late map look like?

51:58
Will the Supreme Court have a public participation process associated with their map drawing?

51:58
Why did our much praised bipartisan system fail this time?

51:59
Is there a possibility of having a new say regarding maps?

51:59
what’s the liklihood of the supreme court adopting the LWvoters maps?

55:24
I’ve read the book, and it is easy to read, very much a human interest story about a mom who got involved in an era that hadn’t seen much involvement from women. Alison can be justifiably proud of her grandmother!

55:52
I loved the fact that they used Shell Gas Station maps to do the redistricting!

55:57
Politics of the Possible -https://www.politicsofthepossible.com/

56:09
How accurate is the 2020 census?

01:02:23
Do we have profiles of the political views of our Supreme Court justices?

01:07:45
I always told my students “fair” was the first week in August!😂

01:08:16
I do not think fair is necessarily in the eye of the beholder. You can conceive of a map designed to exclude a particular group, and nearly everyone would agree such a map is not fair. "Is it fair?" is NOT a loaded question.

01:12:10
Are the final maps from the Commission at risk of invalidation due to the questions about violations of the Open Public Meetings Act?

01:12:35
Is the Court bound by the requirements of the OPMA?

01:14:12
How could the commission made up of legislators possibly come to agreement? It is clear which maps benefit Democrats and which maps benefit Republicans...how could one possibly agree to a map of the other?

01:16:15
MAPS!

01:17:15
So we can see them in Dave’s Redistricting ?

01:17:53
WA Redistricting Commission’s Final Approved Maps - https://washington-redistricting-commission.webflow.io/final-maps

01:18:23
they look reasonably compact

01:20:26
Are all current CD representatives still in their district?

01:20:45
Do they still live in their district?

01:21:41
Is Burien still in the 7th district?

01:23:25
your map doesn't seem to show the changes on the north of the 9th

01:23:56
what about vashon island

01:24:00
north end of the 9th

01:24:54
oops I was looking at the north end of the 9th in Seattle and see that I can see it

01:25:11
I think Del Bene is in Medina

01:25:44
did all 4 commissioners agree to this map?

01:26:30
So west Seattle honored desires. Capitol Hill and Central District communities not honored

01:27:31
Vashon was a point of disagreement regarding state legislative districts. I don't recall seeing any maps which moved Vashon out of the 7th Congressional district.

01:28:20
Which State Legislators were drawn out of their districts?

01:31:10
looks like I5 is still the divider in SWW. Longview and Kelso east of I5 are split, are with Vancouver.

01:32:53
They can move too.

01:33:00
Is Burien still in the 34th Dist.?

01:33:03
Any comments on the 26th ld?

01:33:16
whose map is this we are looking at? One of the 4 commissioners?

01:34:13
This is the maps all the commissioners agreed to.

01:34:31
I thought the commissioners couldn't agree on a map?

01:34:51
Is Bothell still in the 1st?

01:35:54
Is it possible to see the streets in Burien between the 34th and 33rd districts?

01:37:00

01:38:03
I is the beauty of her maps (Dave's), which are much better with details than the ones the commission presented.

01:38:05
Losing Lake Forest Park and Kenmore from the 46th is a disaster - breaks up a significant Hispanic community along SR-522 and was opposed by both city councils. Disservice to the voters.

01:38:42
Did the current proposed changes cure any gerimandering from previous redistricting? Like CD 1 and 2?

01:39:20
Would you put the link to the League of Women Voters webpage which has the WA Redistricting Commission's maps in the Dave's Redistricting platform? Dave's is much more user friendly than the platform the Commission used.
