what's up w/the maps the committee passed on after they failed to meet their deadline--are those on the level & they really just missed the timing, or something else?

will the supreme court create a fair map?

What does the agreed on but late map look like?

Will the Supreme Court have a public participation process associated with their map drawing?

Why did our much praised bipartisan system fail this time?

I’ve read the book, and it is easy to read, very much a human interest story about a mom who got involved in an era that hadn’t seen much involvement from women. Alison can be justifiably proud of her grandmother!

I do not think fair is necessarily in the eye of the beholder. You can conceive of a map designed to exclude a particular group, and nearly everyone would agree such a map is not fair. "Is it fair?" is NOT a loaded question.

Are the final maps from the Commission at risk of invalidation due to the questions about violations of the Open Public Meetings Act?

Is the Court bound by the requirements of the OPMA?

How could the commission made up of legislators possibly come to agreement? It is clear which maps benefit Democrats and which maps benefit Republicans...how could one possibly agree to a map of the other?

Vashon was a point of disagreement regarding state legislative districts. I don't recall seeing any maps which moved Vashon out of the 7th Congressional district.

looks like I5 is still the divider in SWW. Longview and Kelso east of I5 are split, are with Vancouver.

I is the beauty of her maps (Dave's), which are much better with details than the ones the commission presented.

Losing Lake Forest Park and Kenmore from the 46th is a disaster - breaks up a significant Hispanic community along SR-522 and was opposed by both city councils. Disservice to the voters.

Did the current proposed changes cure any gerimandering from previous redistricting? Like CD 1 and 2?

Would you put the link to the League of Women Voters webpage which has the WA Redistricting Commission's maps in the Dave's Redistricting platform? Dave's is much more user friendly than the platform the Commission used.
