Hi Evran and Melodie, KTOO is in Juneau, Alaska, where we have some serious terrain issues with serving all of our community of license from our existing transmitter, so we are thinking about applying so we could repeat KTOO's signal on a full power transmitter. (Low power translators don't do us much good here). Will there be an issue with filing for what will essentially be a full power repeater of an existing service?

Did I hear correctly that we won't know what frequencies will be available until after we submit our application? How would we know if there are interference or adjacency issues at our intended site?

As another consulting engineer: Yes, everything that Melody said. One needs to study both the real world and the world as seen by the interference protection regulations.

If you don't participate in the filing window, can you later purchase a new station CP from a successful applicant (f they have not yet constructed it)?
