English like Hebrew has a rich lexicon of descriptive words for all parts of speech. Both Modern Hebrew and English have a rich lexicon of figurative and idiomatic language. I am not sure if that is as true in romance or other language groups. How Do you feel that affects a translation? In my opinion the translators of these two works did an excellent job.

I loved that one of the people Yoel watched through the open windows was someone he imagined was a psychoanalyst documenting her clients’ lives. Did Emuna see this person and the others Yoel watched as somehow symbolic or representational of something she wanted the reader to think about?
