Matt G
42:47
Does 'around the mountain' mean basically 'in the vicinity of' in this case? Or more like '(spread) around'
Matt G
45:24
Par of what's not clear to me is the plural for the people (in which case they could be spread around - to the full extent, actually circling the mountain), so could the same thing be said for an individual person being shaa daat?
Marsha Hotch
47:09
I missed…but speaking about people is different. He probably will mention it. I missed the slide about the mountain.
Matt G
50:43
oops, I misremembered - it was shaa daax'. Maybe if it was just me speaking, I could say "shaa daax' yei xhat wootee"?
Anne Fuller
59:07
slide with xan and daa?
Isaiah Hall
01:06:11
It becomes w near labialized consonants like kw and ghw and near u, and y elsewhere.
Tom
01:07:00
I think a shot of caffeine will ensure clearer enunciation Ha!
Matt G

Isaiah Hall
01:18:26
It looks like this is for a three-tone dialect.
Isaiah Hall
01:20:44
The grave accent (low tone in three-tone dialects) seems to contrast with no accent (mid in three-tone, low in two) and acute accent (high tone,) which indicates three-tone.Also two-tone dialects are not entirely predictable (in tone) from three-tone dialects.
