Work at Bothin Marsh would help reduce impacts from storm surge, and could potentially include components to address flooding on Almonte/Miller, but it must be done along with other improvements outside of the Preserve.

Is there any plan to mitigate the flooding on the Mill Valley freeway exit? It gets worse every year.

This has been an urgent issue for many years and we hear about flood mitigation and preparation but not about solutions that are being considered by the County and State. Can you shed light on how far those discussion have gone?
can transportation dollars be tapped for some of the infrastructure hardening?
Is there currently any consideration to stop development in former marshlands (ie Manzanita) or considering buyouts so that former marshland might be restored?

If property rights take precedence could a substantial bond be required for future mitgation
How practical would it be to raise homes, streets, utility lines, etc, particularly in Birdland and Kay Park?
I proposed to BCDC that what's needed is state law that says after a specified date, that any project built with risk of flood is on its own if flooding does occur.
I just want to acknowledge the importance of having this open dialogue and commend the Neighborhood Response Group for hosting.
Could a new levee be built at the edge of the marsh that could also have a road on it to address traffic issues and SLR?
