I believe CDC changed their recommendation to 100 degrees, but I believe staying at 100.4 is safe to use as well.

As I sell the IR thermometer I was just on a call where they want us to tell our customers that these are reading only surface temps. So if there is a surface temp that’s 99-100 deg the persons internal temp could be at the 102 level which would need medical attention.

What do you do with an employee who answers screening questions "yes" but shows no temp over 100.4? Send home, send to work, further screening?
