Can you discuss the best way to present possible policy to legislatures? Like the nuts and bolts of how and what you present (white papers, power points, present to a committee, present to individual lawmakers)

Personally, I’ve had a lot of success on a municipal and federal level with one pagers. It’s easier for lawmakers and their assistants to digest / plan around

Going to echo Seth here. I wrote a Bill, lobbied it independently, gathered sponsors, and it was introduced. Now, it is being lobbied by the ACLU of WV. So, you absolutely can be your own lobbyist!
