Will we be able to link listed artists to existing websites or will the artists or agencies need to submit the same information in a new format? (very labour intensive ?)

@lesley: there is no requirement that "presenters" run out of a brick and mortar space. Same thing for artists, they are not required to only have shows that are live and in-person.

@Margaret, so there will be a profile about the venue sizes?

@justine: yes, to start we will have some minimal and basic info about venue spaces. They will be searchable fields.

What if an artist is looking for a digital venue. Can these be listed?

Are there any size requirements for venues? Or are smaller community venues / non-traditional venues able to be listed on the system?

@Briana There are no size requirements. You can be a 50-person space that is used as a performance space, and it can be listed on the platform.

@Justine: CAPACOA is launching the second phase of a project in which we will develop a searchable directory of presenters. This information will also be stored into the Artsdata knowledge graph so it can easily be reused by other applications such as The Pitch. We will soon be reaching out to agents and managers to validate your information needs.

It would be interesting to reduce manual entry in the Pitch by connecting with resources that provide basic information about venues, organizations etc that are part of the performing arts network - so fields can be repopulated with public information.

@Robert your roster consists of individual profiles for each artist. They exists on the platform for as long as they are not removed.

presenters/venues tend to get swamped by artists requests fro what I understand which means they can’t reply to artists often. When Artists are trying to build a tour for example and contacting venue would there be a quick “i’m interested” reply and a thanks but no thanks reply in order to avoid overload?
