Valid point on when you are leaving work or in covid days, your coworker calls you at the end of the day and you're on the phone for an hour
Karen SmithHupp, CSM
37:27
We are pretty much all remote still, and that can be confusing for where work ends and how to signal the end of the day. I take a walk down to get the mail to separate that space physically
Lisa Vasquez
37:52
It’s easy to let work bleed over to every place and time in your life. (Confession: I remember changing a diaper while I took a press call on my cell.)
Karen SmithHupp, CSM
38:19
I also physically close the door and put a note on it "closed" when it's really hectic
Aija Moeller, CASE

I like the saying that we do not work from home but live at work now.

Thank you for your feedback. Love the boundaries of the afternoon walk and closed sign.

Aija - “Live at work” feels/sounds more overwhelming, but it’s true.
@rhondaminton
44:10
That “let me check one more thing before I log off” is so true. It’s easy to fall into the trap of “If I knock this out tonight, that will free up time tomorrow.” But you soon find out … those perceived “extra time blocs” get filled with other tasks… and the cycle starts to multiply and your work hours increase before you realize it!
Ocampo, Elizabeth Ann

I experienced epic burn out in a previous position. It's made is much simpler to put my foot down about the clean division between work and home life. My husband, however, struggles with this always. Co-existing in that dynamic is interesting.

I'm so glad my husband is retiring this year bc they do not respect that balance. Sunday nights from 5pm- 10pm he gets constant emails in addition to all the other interruptions
Christa Newkirk
57:02
I catch myself on Fridays sending emails and the ability to schedule for Monday morning has been my friend to respect others.
