How long does an employee have to be on payroll to be included in FTE count for forgiveness

If we use up our PPP money after 8 wks but before 24 wks and reduce FTE’s at point funds expended, will we be penalized?

You mentioned you could fire an employee for cause. Could either lack or work or poor performance account for cause? Also if that person was terminated in mid March of 2020 can safe harbor still apply?

If we bring back an employee on 12/31/20 for one pay period will they be counted toward our FTE forgiveness
