I have a question, perhaps for the end. We are in the process of revising our constitution and had to cancel our First Special Meeting to vote on the changes. According to our constitution, our second meeting needs to be an annual meeting. How can we get our changes ratified?

Will this slide show be available for us to download?
Meggie Bjertness
25:43
Can we see the slide with the words for the continuing resolution?
Stanley Kwiecien
28:03
Is it possible to get a copy of the slide presentation? It would be helpful for my congrergations.

Our constitution does not allow absentee or proxy ballots. Does that mean we can't do mail-in ballots?
Sarah Raymond

Our constitution says we need to have our annual meeting in January. Can we meet (parking lot or remotely) solely to vote to hold the rest of the meeting at a later date?
Karin Moberg
31:22
my congregation wants to do vote by ballot because of age of congregation - can you talk more - about it.
Kristina Leslie
34:23
Our congregation had reviewed the constitution at our 2019 annual meeting and approved. However, we were still thinking two votes were required. So do we not need to do the 2nd vote this year? And would be likely be ok with the provision already included?

Can vote by ballot be done via email?
Linda Schauer

just to clarify.... if 2/3 of my church council approves 10.01A20 then we can legal hold ZOOM meeting as a short term fix. How do we vote on ZOOM?
Jessica Merchant
35:02
Virtually, how do make voting legitimate?
Karin Moberg
35:11
so vote by ballot is not considered an annual meeting by law
Karin Moberg
35:21
because there is no meeting
Jule Ballinger

I am sorry, I came in late. You may have already answered it. If we postpone our congregational meeting - does the finances stay the same along with the council leaders?
Kristina Leslie
38:35
I believe so
Kristina Leslie

Will do. thank you!

Still thinking constitution changes: we need to hold two meetings (one to vote on changes the first time and then a second at the annual meeting). Can those meetings be on the same day as long as they are two distinct meetings?

Can this information be sent out in a format style so we can share the slides with our council? Thanks! :)

I believe Zoom requires waiting room now?

Suggestions for how to allow our elderly members to participate? A lot of them are not comfortable with technology/electronics?
Tawanda Murinda
54:02
I’m thinking about our older members, this would be too technical for them. Any ideas to get them involved?

Our church has an online camara we use and could livestream. Is this a legal way to do it? This would cover a lot of our congregation? Would be doable for those older members who are already watching this way. Thanks! :)

I thought I was told that we could update the constitution to conform to the model constitution during the annual meeting. Is that not correct?
Meggie Bjertness
57:40
Ok. thank you.
Karin Moberg

With dial in option they still have to have zoom app on their phone and that means they need a smart phone? is that accurate?
