Hi Tom Moody - the program eligibility criteria requires the business to have been in operation since Oct. 2019. However you can send us an application and we can explore if there is any assistance we can provide.

We made an application under the OSR program about a month and a half ago. What is the timeline for processing and approvals?

Where was the monies for off reserve provided to?

We would prefer off reserve funding coming to the on reserve administration as many friendship centres are not functional.

If sent to on reserve admin, they need to provide proof that they have actually assisted off reserve

Proving that assistance went to off reserve will not be a problem. Our Kispiox Band has a full off reserve database of our memerbs.

Just a FYI, we inquired about Perimeter Security and we were redirected to Emergency Management Services BC and then told if we didn't get all our needs then ask the Indigenous Community Support Fund.

How may we ask to directly received fundign for our off reserve members ? They are all contacting our Band office anyway as they canto often access the friendship centres.

Just for the summary, are all presented fundign available until March 31 2022 ?

julia kristjanson this was a Daycare so it took a while to build but Covid definitey affected enrollment when we opened as it was only at less than half capacity when we anticipated 100%

We distributed $60,800 ISC sent us a few months ago for off reserve, so we have all database/contacts updated. Many many members off reserve canto access of reserve assistance due to lack of orientation, knowledge, facilities, often being rejected by the funded organizations. I would prefer that our Band office will handle the off reserve covid assistance. It will work way better for their benefit.

So where the $5 mil for off reserve will go ? To friendship centres ? Our here up North BC is closed.
