Is there a version of this chart that incorporates an understanding of growing in faith/spirituality that incorporates justice or broader community (outside of church) markers?

We have a lot of younger/young adults in our congregation – many of whom are either unchurched or skeptical of church. If everything took a self-or inward focus, it would be a huge turn off or confirmation of their critiques about church.

In ward focus doesn't help our churches that are disconnected from the community either -- it's unhealthy!

Our group discussed that the "relentless production of worship" can require so much of the staff time that there isn't much time for the discipleship pieces. We need more cooperative work on the worship piece to free up clergy and staff for other things.

What are the approaches you’re taking that are distinctly tailored to online communities?

01:36:55
I’m finding that Facebook is less and less effective for connecting folks. A lot of people are leaving. Are you exploring other platforms or tools?
Charlene Hill
01:37:34
Facebook is not good for connecting with all of our age groups. Good for live worship only.

And to tag along with Emily’s question, will you be talking how to you do online marketing/outreach to create awareness about your online church?

I’ve been wondering a lot about how games/platforms Roblox, Animal Crossing, and Fortnite could be ways to explore forms of connection/ministry. I don’t know a whole lot about this but wondering if you have heard/thought about any of this?

When it comes to online church/ministry.

What is the feed for your Church online through life church (Facebook, Youtube?) or is it independent of anything else? And for smaller churches, how do you advise managing all the platforms for a live experience as each one needs hosts who are intentionally engaging with people and creating community digitally? It seems that strengthening the online worship experience might be a first step to developing a discipleship system because as we reach more people, we can then funnel them to Alpha and other small group experiences.

Do the platforms that you use for worship allow for the kind of interactivity and building connections that Zoom allows?

We have viewers of worship that are not connected with our Church. What are some ways we can build a relationship with them beyond that viewing?

Do you anticipate your small groups becoming long term ongoing communities - more like "home churches" with shared worship?
Jonathan Crail - DeKalb First
02:14:14
A common refrain: It tends to be the same people over and over in the small groups/Bible studies offered. What are some strategies to entice others to participate?

02:27:21
Getting leaders to do the groups…that part I hope happens…It’s harder I think but that’s the path if we are going to do any new ones.
