Question: I've never before worked with Vajrasattva. Is it sufficient to have a small print on my altar that I use as a focus, such as the image printed in "Preliminary Practices of the Dudjom Tersar”?Question #2: Does the ngondro end with the 7th section called “Generosity of Giving One’s Body and the Dedication of Merit”?Thank you,John

This may be a heretical question, but is Lama Sonam enlightened?
isaac
01:32:12
Freddy it sounds like you're saying the natural state involves not thinking or stopping thoughts. Is that right?
John Hands
01:32:52
That would be Dzogchen, then wouldn’t it? The natural state?
isaac
01:33:51
and to clarify: what does "cut it" mean? does that mean "stop thinking" or does it mean let thoughts dissolve themselves?
John Hands
01:38:37
Birds and traffic sounds.
isaac
01:54:37
Freddy are we only giving this human body in chod or is it the 4 kaya body as well?
Al L
01:59:13
There is no 'I' who gets enlightened, yet there is 'I' who is generating bodhichitta to acheive enlightenment. not really a question...
Kenneth Mednick
01:59:22
What is the meaning of the Tibetan writing that might appear on the back side of a Vajrasattva thanks? The writing appears behind specific places on Vajrasattva’s body?
John Hands
02:06:03
So would Lama Sonam now be my root lama that I pray to?

i realized i shared this earlier to Freddie directly: “Begin by contemplating one of the four thoughts, and then allow the mind to relax. Then pray to the lama, or another object of your faith, for the blessing to accomplish something of benefit for yourself and others before impermanence intervenes and you no longer have this body. Arouse compassion for the predicament of beings and make the wish that all will be liberated from the cycles of suffering. Then establish the commitment to apply your understanding and the methods of dharma diligently in order to accomplish this. Then contemplate the next thought, again allow the mind to rest, then pray, arouse compassion, and confirm your commitment to free all beings from suffering, and so forth.”
