How other school district allocate the CRF funding distributed as part of the October State share to your charter schools?
Greg Fieth
28:06
Jennifer Austin was going to present on how do accruals in November.

Thank you

We are going to try to limit extra duty/etc. in December so that we are only concerned with normal payroll.
Hollie Harlan
30:01
Here are my questions: 1. When determining portion of salary and benefits to charge to CRF, is there a guideline (other than the "51% rule") 2. What is the grant revenue coding for esser? 3. Is a treadmill desk/ stand up desks an allowable expense for CRF 4. what are other districts doing for the "cutoff" expenditure requests from staff for Cares related items?
Angela Slaven
30:14
If you decide allocate the CRF portion of the state share to charter schools, how do you calculate the amount?
Laura Gorman
32:14
We are still trying to figure this out - we are also thinking like Greg that we might have to move up extra pay in Dec or we might not be able to charge that Dec extra pay to CARES -- doing an estimate is really not possible. For the others that are salary positions we are trying to figure out what to do because doing the estimate is kind of messy. We haven't gotten there yet.

question on October state share & CRF 5012 funds - Oct equalization monthly payment report shows state share as same as prior month. Should we then DR equalization and CR CRF Rev for the at-risk funding portion?
Laura Gorman
33:54
Has there been a decision make about if charters do not use all of their CRF, can district's spend the remaining with their CRF or do we have to just pay it back?
Hollie Harlan
35:58
we are taking a % of the at risk pupils at the charter school
Amy Beruan
37:01
If there is no set way to distribute the funds, how will monitoring look as it relates to the at risk funds for charters?
Laura Gorman
38:08
So we do not have to allocate the state share at risk with charters like we did with the regular CRF? Am I hearing that correctly?
Hollie Harlan
39:34
we are allocating state share and at risk to charter school for oct, separated out by grant code like adam mentioned
Joanne Vergunst
39:38
so CRF will be a separate payment in addition to equalization?
Karen Rodberg
40:18
This is an ESSER-related question...Does our GEPA statement have to be revised to reflect the nature of the proposed expenditures for supplemental ESSER funding for Title VI grantees? The activities to be proposed are different from those in our ESSER application #1. If the answer is yes, do I simply add to the existing GEPA statement? Thank you.
Candi Headley
40:30
The confusion from my perspective is that if there are 2 buckets why is the total the same as before and not "extra"
Sheena McCorkle
41:42
Joanne when you look at the Voucher you receive, it is separated, even though the Total matches the same amount as the equalization has been in prior months. That will help you split the Deposit.
Angela Slaven
42:23
SO basically the Finance Act funding ( source 3110) is reduced by the amount equal to the CRF. so for next year of Financial reporting purpose, our entire revenue from State will be decreased by the CRF amount?
Kim Steinhart
46:35
Can we use CRF for our CPP kids and facility? or is only K-12?
Laura Gorman
46:52
For the GL's that are due with Q3 what are the dates of the GL since they cross 2 fiscal years - is it March-Dec? Trying to give guidance to charters. Also, will (or has it been) updated in guidance about the GLs?
Greg Fieth
48:14
For the 5012 At-risk Rev, that can be used as allowable under CRF, and not more restrictive to at-risk students only, correct?
Brandi S
48:27
Just want to confirm that a non public school consultation form still needs to be signed and sent to CDE even if the NPS chooses not to participate in ESSER ?
Hollie Harlan
48:31
that is my understanding greg
Lana Niehans
49:51
I can help the person with the accrual question. Just have them call 719-423-3077 Lana Niehans
Joanne Vergunst
55:14
CRF GL reporting with Q3 - can you clarify level of detail you are asking for? Summary report of all expenditures for 4012 GL accounts from 2019-20 and 2020-21 that will add to total amount spent by District?
Karen Rodberg
55:25
Thanks, Nazie.
Angela Slaven
55:45
BTW, can we access to this Q&A recording video later?
Nazie Mohajeri-Nelson
57:39
The recording will be posted on our website https://www.cde.state.co.us/fedprograms/resourcesandtechnicalassistance and we will email the link after the meeting as well.
Angela Slaven
58:37
thank you Tim, it's very helpful ! Ashley
Tim Kahle
58:58
I'm glad that helped, Angela!
Hollie Harlan
58:59
so essentially we have to spend our at risk allocation with crf allowable expenses IN Addition to the normal CRF funds we all go back in May
Hollie Harlan
59:36

Thank you Jennifer. Ashley
Linda Weyers
01:04:56
What if we send the NPS form through many ways and never get an answer at all? Can we just document that we have gotten no reply?
Nazie Mohajeri-Nelson
01:06:24
@Linda Weyers - yes you can also include the emails and documentation to show dates of calls, etc. and that you did not receive a response to demonstrate good faith effort to consult.
Greg Fieth
01:07:04
So do we only have to report the 4012 grant for Q3 or 5012 also?
Amy Beruan
01:07:10
Jennifer Austin- description line for every expenditure?
Amy Beruan
01:07:25
GL's are summary not a detailed document
Hollie Harlan
01:09:55
thanks for all your help and guidance with the CRF madness !
Brandi S
01:10:25
Please clarify the obligation period for ESSER. Throughout the CRF and ESSER matrix, it shows the period through June 30, 2021 in the allowable cost descriptions, but I have also seen Sept. 30, 2022 in other guidance.
Angela Slaven
01:10:41
Thank you Jenifer!
Amy Beruan
01:10:45
If there is no set way to distribute the funds, how will monitoring look as it relates to the at risk funds for charters?
Greg Fieth
01:12:02
Questions from charters - Can ESSER be used for increased instructional time similar to CRF? Can ESSE be used for lost instructional time (after school and Saturday catch up tutoring)?
Greg Fieth
01:13:19
Thanks to all of you!
Paul Anderson
01:13:38
The At risk funds that were distributed in October- do we need to create Q2, and Q3 expenditures if funds are coded to expenses in July October or can all go toward Q2
Paul Anderson
01:16:27
Thank you
