34:37
Thank you all for the congrats. It's been a great year with ECWA. Appreciate everyone

34:43

34:48
The signs actually make it worse IMO. People seem to be trying to read signs and pull up to signs ignoring the atop signs.

For Appointments for CD8 COVID-19 Testing, call Alicia Vargas 213.400.0552. Testing time is 8am - 2:30p.m.

58:15
I REALLY BELIEVE THAT IT IS LESS THE LOW-RIDERS, THAN THE MOTORCYCLES, THAT CREATE THE MOST NOISE, ESPECIALLY WITHIN THE RESIDENTIAL AREAS THAT ARE ADJACENT TO CRENSHAW...

58:55
may we take a five min. break at the top of the hour

01:04:40
the forms we filled out and mailed in...don't they count?

01:05:56
lol Got It!

01:07:12
The problem is when resources come into our communities those resources get intercepted by a small few who are not sharing w/ the rest of the community and not doin what needs to get done

01:09:15
👆🏾And this is a problem!

01:10:27
defend the police: after they/da correct the mistake on my dmv record

01:12:00

01:13:26
Jacquelyn Temple: yes your census bureau form that you fill out and mail in does count.

01:13:32
can you please type what the motion is here

01:14:46
or where can we find more info on the motion?

01:15:01
what's being done to address the parking around the Vision Theater?

01:15:58
Yes, we are trying to hold onto the parking just behind the theatre. There will also be a loading docking for deliver of supplies, sets, sostumes, etc.

01:16:04
Congrats, Taylor for staying in our community and your nine years of service.

01:16:16

Congrats, Taylor. We appreciate you and the services you have provided to the community!!

01:17:12
Hey Micah

01:17:19
Mr. Bakewell's Company has had a history of success cultural programs in Los Angeles. I support the motion

01:17:29
their job they lied

01:17:56
The planters are to receive rainwater that may run off the roof. It's lowimpact development ordnance for stormwater management.

01:18:35
Micah there is a CBD store on the corner of 6/Vernon; is that you, too?

01:18:55
I tried to find the motion before the call, but it must not be up yet. go the lacity.org under City Council.

01:19:36

01:20:35

01:29:07

Council and Committee Meetings are still taking place. You can still participate online to keep up with new legislation. https://www.lacity.org/government/meeting-calendars/city-council-meetingsagendas

01:33:26
I just wanted to clarify, regarding the Vision, if the motion passes, DCA would not be managing the space as we are currently doing with the other City-owned theatres I mentioned.

01:33:45
Yvonne,

01:33:52
Thanks for clarifying

01:33:55
what is your plan for up keep

01:34:10
woah

01:34:14
😨

01:37:06
How many blocks is that? And where is it?

01:37:23
There already isn’t enough parking for the barber shops across the street and you’re going to extend the sidewalk?

01:37:25
Stanley or Edgar, can you please show what the alley side looks like as far as a fence? 4252 Crenshaw has a “see through” fence which seems to help because it provides visibility. Is this what you are referring to when you say “open area”? Also, is there a secure area for the trash containers to help prevent issues?

01:38:10
how is COVID affecting builders with millions unemployed. how do y’all continue to move forward

01:39:01
we want you to be responsible for the alley where your building resides

01:39:04
Avis needs to mute

01:39:21
@tracey not much , since construction workers like my brother still working

01:39:54
good

01:39:55
i am muted

01:40:03
I saw cars on one of the slides. Could you clarify whether there is a parking garage?

01:41:15
Yes Andraya

01:41:36

01:42:08
we want diversity

01:42:18
and parking for all units or is he saying they wont be able to provide parking for all residents?

01:42:33
shouldn't have to go to far to get a bagle

01:43:11
living wages

01:43:46
What is the parking for so many units?

01:43:54
Can the tenant lease agreement include a clause that tenants are not allowed to place unwanted furniture / bulky items in the alley? This is an ongoing problem.

01:44:01
@Ignite Daniel, FYI - You are correct, parking for the businesses on Crenshaw is really challenging. In an effort to restore the parking on the CD8/West side of the street I met with CLAX Metro executives a couple of weeks ago to ask them how they can restore the parking for businesses asap. They are to report back to me next week. Its not a lot of parking, but its some.

01:44:06
I believe 60 parking spots

01:44:11
agree about parking

01:44:20
lisa powers

01:46:19
@ Tracey Brown. There is no moratorium's on construction. Construction is exempt, and still working.

01:47:10
thank you @dina Andrews

01:47:21
will there be any cameras installed?

01:47:25
how will 53 spaces be assigned to 124 units?

01:47:34
living wages ?

01:47:42
lol

01:47:49
@Dina, Thank You because I do hair in a couple of those barber shops and we were completely ignored when they came in and took our parking for our customers just to turn around and ticket everyone like crazy

01:47:49
what’s the name of the group managing this project ?

01:48:13
that sucks

01:48:37
that parking situation is an issue. Every new apartment bulding coming up is not providing enough parking. It's great that you want to add retail spaces. but all this lack of parking will move into our neighborhoods from apartments, shopping and train riders

01:48:39
Will tenants have to pay additional for their parking? That could impact whether or not they opt in for parking.

01:49:03
How does 15% of the apartments being allocated to low income help serve the High Demand of Affordable Housing in This Area?

01:49:12
estimated rent prices for non low income units.

01:49:19
The information shared about a labor dispute with Africa Town is incorrect. We had a personnel matter that was not favorable for some. We continue to provide employment with 107 satisfied employees and find it unfortunate that some would attempt to discredit the valuable services we provide throughout South Los Angeles to include Leimert Park. Unfortunately there seems to be a few people who find it necessary to allow there recalcitrance to create a false narrative about issues and circumstances that are beyond the scope of their individual involvement. With respect to local businesses having issues with Community Build Inc., This is again another false narrative. The extent of our interaction with local businesses is limited to our work with the business improvement district and our survey data from the many care calls our team makes indicates a high level of satisfaction. Once again another false narrative from a few whose goal is to act on a compulsion to divide and conquer.

01:49:19
who is the artist for the mural?

01:49:28
the parking also brings up safety issues

01:49:33
amen

01:50:35
That could be an issue. As an example, some landlords charge an additional $100.00 per month for parking. Most people can not afford that who live in this area.

01:51:04
good point sir/mam

01:51:11
Did I miss the apartment rent range?

01:51:42
I mean they talked a little about affordable housing 😅

01:51:48
if its not around 900.00 it's terrible

01:52:12
@13233 you funny.

01:52:32
peace

01:52:38
Will the developer have an “anti-graffiti” protective coating on any walls subject to vandalism?

01:52:40
lol

01:52:43
That only added 3 apartments!

01:52:54
Mixed? 15% is mixed?

01:53:17
What's scheduled for the bottom floor?

01:53:19
thanks officer E,

01:53:20
what will be the rent range for the units?

01:53:38
What are the rent prices?

01:53:46
Also, is there laundry in each unit?

01:55:06
and maintain it

01:55:29
You must have used a leasing figure to cost out the project. What figures did you use?

01:55:56
does it include set asides for the unfortunate homeless community member W/hopeful section 8

01:56:14
It sounds like you came in to the neighborhood under the impression you would be helping but it’s simply for financial gain..

01:56:28
Is there a CPC date yet? DO you know around when it will be?

01:57:02
@ignite I knew you was cool ✊🏾

01:58:26
what the website?

01:58:28
what’s next steps for this project ?

01:58:38
Website is 4242crenshaw.com

01:58:39
It would have been best to stay quiet RobertThe receipts prove everythingyou're dirtycommunity build is dirtymark ridley thomas is dirtyPeople have had enough

01:58:44
@Devon as a fan 🥰

01:58:47
rent

01:59:14
Up or down?

01:59:21
Lol because I have the original prices y’all wanted to charge!

01:59:30
Of course it's financial gain, we can't make that an issue unless we're developing our own structures. it's great to incorporate the building to fit in with our community per the colors and local murals. But please focus on the parking issue as the more developers that come in and build on this street, the more traffic and less parking we will have in our quiet and peaceful neighborhood of leimert

01:59:33
Will look for it and share y’all!

01:59:38
that’s where I was going with my COVID question

01:59:51
👀 #BlkVanguards @LG K40

02:00:14
Is there an Uber & Lyft pick-up and drop-off area on Crenshaw Blvd?

02:00:26
Yes we can we people continue to come into “our” neighborhood! That continues to be the problem with “developers”!

02:00:42
neighbor is quiet

02:01:02
Oh! I forgot to mention that DCA plans to have a design challenge for the theatre's curtain! (mural discussion reminded me)

02:01:21
@ignite and we eat it up like gumbo . it’s time for a change

02:01:47
As an update, The city is planning to start phase two of the tree trimming that started last month on 43rd Street this week. They are planning to trim the trees on Degnan in the Village on Thursday and/or Friday.
