I think a trail on Arklan is a great idea. I back onto the missippi trail from Stonewater Bay. Several people in my neighbourhood support it as well

A bridge with a proper trail opens it up to people who otherwise are not currently able to access it.

Would there be a challenge to the users of the canoe club - the new bridge?

You won't see many wheel chairs making their way around Carleton Place in the winter. Just ask any member of the accessibility committee.

Yeah, those sidewalk aprons on Patterson are sloped pretty steep. Town allows for an 8% drive way slope. Should be max 6% IMO.

Wheelchair users do find slopes a problem. Fear of falling is a big concern for the person in the wheelchair. concer

Could have raised Patterson street between Begley and those houses on the Arklan School side. $$$$

Ryans concern is 100% correct. Will be even worse when Bridge street is closed during construction next year.

Also require a left turning light from McNeely onto Patterson and McNeely onto Stonewater.

When was the last road count done by the County for McNeely? Last one I recall was at least 3 years ago.

That is a school crossing zone. With 4 lanes, plus turning lanes onto Stonewater and Patterson, it is going to be a real challenge for crossing guards.

Make it an official school zone so you can install a red light camera or photo radar.

People run the red light on McNeely every single day

I think the Town should take over McNeely and Townline

It is just another bureaucracy that slows things down.
