I saw that NYs Governor announced the medical conditions that meet the criteria to be in 1C. DO you have any insight to when GA will publicize that list? As well as what might be needed to prove that an individual is a 1C?

From your humble career public health practitioner still working 'in the trenches'--When you do receive your vaccine-you can tell CDC about any side effects . You can enroll in a system called v-safe using your smartphone and participation is voluntary. You can opt out at any time. Sign up at vsafe.cdc.gov (when your receive the vaccine). The systems use strict security measures which comply with applicable federal laws

My husband and I got ours at a Publix. They registered us for the CDC follow up before we left. We've received and responded to periodic texts about our reactions

At what point (or what data points) do you anticipate that gatherings will be considered safe again? Thinking High Holidays, Shabbat Kiddush, Weddings, etc.

Answer to Corin: I think outreach events like this and the casual commentary of MDs to their patients and office coworkers, many of whom are African American help get communities of color to the vaccine centers. I have had both shots and as of Friday, EVERY member of our staff (100+), most of whom are African American, have had their vaccines. When the sign up sheet went out last month, only a third signed up initially. Our corporate owners began a campaign within the office to get everyone at ease and having all 7 MDs report that it was no big deal, combined with a gift card from our corporate owners got the job done.

Quick additional comment ….it looks like this corona virus and its genetic variants will keep circulating forever…but like the other 5 known coronavirus families, it will ultimately become more like the common cold with minimal severe illness and hospitalizations.
