Just to clarify, because there is no funding for participant services and instruction, is it acceptable that proposals for new programs are for the program development only up through the endorsement process with no trainees/apprentices enrolled in the grant period?
Vero Guajardo, PhD
01:02:06
Just to confirm/clarify: a) Career launch programs that get endorsed are eligible for further funding but not exploration/prep? and b) Since exploration/prep proposals will miss out on the additional 10 points (if not LAUNCH), do proposals that do NOT include LAUNCH have a realistic chance of being awarded? Happy to wait till END for info... THANK YOU.

what, if any, differences are there between the Round 4 and 5 RFPs that we should be aware of?

Thank you for posting the link to Career Connect. I don't see current year slides or information. I would love to go through this slide deck and review it. Is there a specific link for where I find this?

I have to jump off, but looking forward to hearing answers on the recording. Is there someone we can reach out to with specific questions?

Can you provide more detail about the process of curriculum development with industry partners? Is it acceptable if we (the cbo) create the curriculum based on information we received from industry partners?
Kathryn Kurtz
01:28:20
For programs that have education competencies and work integrated learning and employers - can the funding be used to develop local industry recognized certification if those don't exist for a particular industry - will those meet the CCW requirement for industry recognized certs?
Brian Sites

We are looking at attempting to create career certification for at-risk HS students in Tri-Cities. If we found a community partner to lead the trainings, such as Forklift Operator, Pre-Apprenticeship (Laborers union), NAC, would they be eligible to apply for this Intermediary grant? Could any of the funds be used to pay for the certification costs for students?
Dave O'Keeffe
01:30:39
Could you recap slide 19 again for new applicants. I could not write them down fast enough
Joshua Porter
01:31:02
Is there a preference for having 1 specific credential as part of a career launch program? Or for having a scaffolded set of credentials? We are set up to potentially offer both a certificate as well as a bachelor’s, but I am wondering how much effort we might put into an associate’s option as well. Could that be added later? And could a minor be considered a credential?
