Should the activity be timed? ex: limit the amount of spinning in a swing? jumping on trampoline? When do we know that they are regulated to move on to school work, chores, etc.?

Is a child engaging in screaming/screeching/singing loudly a part of the auditory system? seeking not avoiding. What can we do to help that by saving our ears?

So we have a child who seeks hitting just about anywhere (wall, floor, mom...); mom anticipates what he is going to do, but doesn't stop the behavior. She is placing him in the trampoline as a means to "keep him from hitting". We realized that this may be contradicting the consequence for his behavior because she also places him in the trampoline for "play time" with sibling. How can we communicate this to mom. Every time we have tried; she goes back to "this is where he is safe".
