Hello from Grenada
Florence Isovic
56:30
Why do you spend so much time on these assumptions instead of facing reality and working on constructive actions to help the conditions now????
abraham Weizfeld Phd
56:51
Because it has not worked.
Florence Isovic
57:49
What has not worked? We want peace but we have to steal more land first!!!
Florence Isovic
58:35
End the brutal occupation and respect human rights for ALL.
Len Bennett
59:15
End your bias please.
Florence Isovic
01:00:29
Who is bias?
charles fredricks
01:00:46
Florence, everyone here is in agreement the status quo needs alteration; hence the effort to create an alternative.
Rochelle Cleaver
01:03:03
Here we are giving veto power to the citizens of each areas and passing power to each of the people who are voting in these areas. The power belongs to the people.
Rochelle Cleaver
01:05:16
The power here is with the people not the politicians.
Rochelle Cleaver
01:07:29
If the primary body cannot resolve the situation, then perhaps this body can.
Rochelle Cleaver
01:08:39
So?
Varjabedian Irena
01:09:12
If Israeli government wants to dismantle the settlements, they can
Jesse Bevan
01:09:35
I gotta eat breakfast. be right back
Rochelle Cleaver
01:12:29
We are not addressing particular problems here, we are just setting up the framework for peace.
Rochelle Cleaver
01:12:47
Do you understand the term Constitution?
abraham Weizfeld Phd
01:21:47
Pros Ben-Meir errs by not distinguishing between a State and a government. All the governments concerned can be confederated even while all may not recognize the existing Palestine State.
abraham Weizfeld Phd
01:24:16
Furthermore Ben-Meir is not recognizing either the Israeli Civil Society or the Palestinian. Our Confederation is based in the Direct Democracy that bypasses the existing governments.
Jesse Bevan
01:24:46
I am back as a Israeli parliament member
Rochelle Cleaver
01:25:09
Me too.
Jesse Bevan
01:25:11
UN already has schools that Hamas ect disagree with. they are still allowed to teach
Rochelle Cleaver
01:26:54
Less freedom of speech in US than here. One must be politically correct in US. Even my synagogue turned me out of Zooming because I verbally disagreed with them.
Rochelle Cleaver
01:28:34
I must speak to Israelis only here. Can't speak truth in US - they are playing Tom Sawyer in Huckleberry Finn and white-washing fences, rather than cleaning out rotting wood before painting over.
Jesse Bevan
01:33:11
already had a online election in 2012 where hundreds participated willingly
charles fredricks
01:33:26
Len’s objection re textbooks is have two books instead of having the two stories in one book, but he has no objection to both being taught to the same students
Rochelle Cleaver
01:33:55
OK
Lawrence Wilkerson
01:36:07
If the past is any guide, we can have an online election. If we can’t, then Israel is not a democracy (a very accurate assessment in my mind, if what the professor maintains is in fact the case).
Rochelle Cleaver
01:36:25
so the Israelis and Palestinians will not sit Down, but the Israelis, Palestinian s, and JordaniAnS WILL?
Libby T Palis. Parliment
01:39:39
He just spoke truth, it's a mind set that keeps things as they are and unable to create new
Rochelle Cleaver
01:41:59
The people will not ask the politicians.
Jesse Bevan
01:42:48
that's what e are trying to build with all due respect
Rochelle Cleaver
01:49:28
Globilization has raised millions of people out of poverty around the world. A joint economic zone is globalization.
Lawrence Wilkerson
01:49:43
Game over. Israel is a dictatorship.
Rochelle Cleaver
01:49:59
Your vote is completely wrong. I agree with Josef
Jesse Bevan
01:52:16
it's been vetoed. let's move on. this can be re proposed in the hypothetical future
Varjabedian Irena
01:52:50
Because Israel is the bully
Jesse Bevan
01:53:08
with all due respect I think the famous guests should at least skim the ipc constitution that has been published
Jesse Bevan
01:54:13
I am confident if we held a online election tommarow, thousands would vote for a 3rd way to a PATH TO NEGOTIATION AND DIPLOMACY
Jesse Bevan
01:54:27
status quo has failed
Libby T Palis. Parliment
01:55:13
It is time to think new because to date nothing is working and both peoples are suffering
Libby T Palis. Parliment
01:59:46
this is true but Israel prevents the Israelis from meeting with the Palestinians
Libby T Palis. Parliment
02:00:38
So let all the people have this same experience, meeting the "other" and sharing personal stories
Rochelle Cleaver
02:05:39
Sorry -have to leave.
Libby T Palis. Parliment
02:07:29
Check out ALLMEP, 150 groups large and small working together in Israel/Palestine to build relationships, all grass roots
Libby T Palis. Parliment
02:08:14
ALLMEP is Alliance for Middle East Peace and is all about people to people who want to live together
Libby T Palis. Parliment
02:18:24
sorry I need to leave
Jesse Bevan
02:33:22
I think what is misunderstood is that the ipc CAN exist without a formal agreement between Israel and Palestine. there would be no point of taking this third way if the Palestinians Authority (and Hamas) and Israel were even talking
Shiraz Ramji
02:33:28
Does the professor recognize NAKBA?
Jesse Bevan
02:34:54
it's all been a failure "one state or "two state." this third way seems to be the only way forward to even have diplomacy and negotiations and compromise
