I applaud all the work that has been accomplished by John, Ryan, Nancy and the CalAnimals Disaster group. Great presentation.
Thanks Henry -- its an awesome committee! They get all the credit!
Note - And many agencies won't deploy until the EMMA and LEMA requests show up in webEOC
Thank you Hill's!
curious if most agencies are under law branch as we are?
that was a question to John and Ryan?
PIOs can from the start issue statements telling the community NOT to bring in pet food donations etc. since pet food companies and pet supply companies can bring in larger amounts faster
This recording will be available here later today:https://www.calanimals.org/on
Thanks for the information! Don't forget about the CA Veterinary Medical Reserve Corps for veterinary support. State resource that is free
Nancy is the Best!
No, John and the committee is the best! :)

Ann, have you partnered with VA Federation yet to involve local animal agencies/shelters?
Do you have contacts for Code 3, HSUS and ASPCA that could provide the sample MOU?

Yes, I find it is hard to find a person to talk to. I'm a bit hesitant to invite Nat'l groups
Good point Shari -- important to keep the resources clear on what their role will be and remind them who they report to.
YEs that's always challenging for the MRC. Looking at trying to swear in via distance
Yes we talked to CARES about this at our meeting last month
Thanks for your time!
