The Charlotte Land Trust is also a small, non-staffed land trust. We do not own any land but we do hold about 15 easements…mostly fairly small amounts of land that fall below the threshold of what VLT would typically hold. If we work on larger projects, we usually do it in conjunction with VLT, TNC or some other conservation organization which will hold the easement. Charlotte does also have a conservation fund.
