I didn't really have an opinion on 1 & 2 but was not able to submit the poll without answering those.

01:11:36
I wasn't able to complete my poll as well. Also how many pages is this grant?

01:12:49
I went ahead and just put in a random answer for 1&2 so I could weigh in on 3&4...

01:14:14
Thanks Colby and Lonnie - we'll look at poll again shortly.

01:14:44
Lonnie re: pages - draft RFA is 21 pages - plus links/attachments

For 2019 round, we were notified of award on Dec 12, 2019 and had contract signed on April 17, 2020. Took a little while!

Is the fishing trip grant funded?

01:21:45
I support LaDonna's idea of poll question whether first time applicant

01:23:47
LaDonna take your time, you're doing great! I hear you on being tired

01:23:47
I support the LIVE grant workshops that Ladonna is mentioning

01:24:02
Not sure if CARB has done consultations with applicants, but could be a part of the workshop process

01:24:29
Allow for 15 or 30 minute slots and people can sign up

01:25:09
My Yes/No is under Reactions

01:25:17
I don’t see the poll question

01:25:20
under reactions!

01:26:34
No

01:26:52
Yes - New

01:28:22
No - we’ve applied before but I still responded ’90-days’ because we’ve developed grants for collaborative projects with multiple partners, which can take more time to coordinate and finalize materials.

01:28:31
It's fast with existing project teams. Building new partnerships can take time.

01:28:42
+++ to Adrian

01:30:22
Agree with Adrian.

01:33:34
My understanding is the idea is to leverage existing partnerships and relationships. Part of the deliverables can be developing new partnerships and relationships that forward the goals of AB 617.

01:34:33
Kevin - yes, correct.

01:36:53
The latest budget has $5M for Woodstoves added back into it.

01:40:57
I GREATLY appreciate the 90 days. I work for a small non-profit, which means I'm the one managing the grants and doing all the work on them. We need to apply for new grants as our existing ones are running out. It takes time to come up with a new project idea, and carefully think through all the key aspects to make sure the time lines and budgets are do-able. So having a longer window makes it possible to come up with something without putting current grants in jeopardy by missing their deadlines.

01:41:52
90 days also allows time for more community input into potential scope

01:43:25

Outreach to Tribal Communities for Comm Air Grants could use improvement. Shannon Dilly at CARB may be able to help improve messaging to Tribes.

02:21:17
Do Third parties and/or contractors have to be located in California. Can they be from out of California?

02:21:32
Thanks for clarifying this. I was confused at first

02:22:03
Joe has a great question on contractors

02:22:37
Thanks Joe for comment on Tribal outreach - we can work with Shannon.

02:23:42
Re: contractors - there are no restrictions in agreement we see. But we can confirm this. Thank you Joe.
