We have lots of Muhly grass it was really looking old/brown we cut it way back is this okay to do every few years?

You mentioned that fountains tend to evaporate the pond water. Do you see any value in terms of algae reduction (through oxygenation of the water) ? Thanks !

Is it necessary to thin out the rushes along the edge of a pond? Ours seem to be filling in the ponds

Thank you Chad! So happy that the Garden is continuing to educate HOAs on this important issue! As a former permit reviewer for the State, I also recommend that HOAs remember to do routine maintenance on the structures (the engineering side) of stormwater ponds to help them function over time.
