@Geri Finnon perhaps these links on algae ink can make a start? https://www.ecoenclose.com/algae-ink-printing-capabilities and https://www.inkworldmagazine.com/contents/view_online-exclusives/2019-08-28/living-ink-is-successfully-commercializing-its-algae-based-ink/ The first link states, “Black screen printing ink for apparel is currently under development. If you are interested in black screen printing ink, please contact us [see link] … Currently, black inkjet or toner ink is not available [at Ecoenclose]”

Hi there,Our studio is print design based and therefore we don’t manufacture, but sell digital graphics.Until now our business has heavily relied on travel for sales and printing samples to present our collection, which of course creates alot of waste.I am after tech/software solutions that might make web sales a viable solution and therefore a more appealing option for our customers. My question is- does anyone have insight into software/technology that could make realistic virtual fabric samples of good enough quality that they could replace the need for face to face meetings and a physical sample collection. So far I’ve been looking towards virtual change room tech but this of course is targeted at garment fit over the fabric or print design
Hi from Singapore, is that an existent platform? can we please know the name? Thanks!
Cirrus Alpert, thank you!
How do we get all consumers to understand the change that needs to be made when buying? How will this be communicated to that target market group of those who do not know/care?
How can we reduce - or transform - all the online returns worldwide and the footprint comes with that ?
@Lily Rose Dambelli Have you heard of Material Exhchange, this company may be of interest to you as it is working on a virtual fabric sample platform https://material-exchange.com/

@Cirrus Alpert - No I haven’t, thank you so much. I’ll look into it
Hello thank you all for such insightful answers and for bringing up concepts I had not considered previously… My question would be how do you suggest companies go about having honest conversations and marketing about sustainable products to avoid a case of “greenwashing” for the sake of meeting the growing demand of aware consumers? Thank you again.
Brilliant! I've been looking into this: both protective and sustainable
can a product with a 40% content of a certified made in green fiber be classified as a Made in Green garment?
How can ÖKOTEX the MadeInGreen-System verify in countries where mass corruption is going on ?
What educational resources are available to consumers on discarding their products sustainably? What trends are happening to advertise these options? How can we make sure customers are aware of the best options they have to get rid of their product based on the materials used to make it?
Thank you so much. Very informative and Lilly you are a great host

Hi Nelle! We will be posting the recording later today on fashionsnoops.com/events!
Thank you, Iris!
Thank you for joining us Denise!
@Arelis Castillo — I don't think we can. I mostly see as a job for product designers, sourcing and marketing departments to make the more sustainable choices the more attractive choices. Also there probably need to be some changes in regulations so that environmental exploitation gets represented in product prices in order to make de-subsidies un-sustainable products.
Financial results are the main goal for companies. What is being made to make sustainability a measurement for success?
I agree it's our responsibility
The challenge is that the owners wants a better financial results compared to last year..every year. Yes, they want sustainability but still with financial growth.... it does not go together ...does it ?

Maybe consumers respond well when they are inspired to buy a product rather than have to? When high profile, "popular" people adopt eco-fashion, they can influence a lot of people positively.thank you!
