Thank you Debbie!
Lee Patterson
33:54
Debbie, are we receiving the contact information for who at the IRS wants to know what agency will use their address?
Senia
39:34
Can an adult who was claimed on taxes qualify for this?
Kristen
41:23
Senia, No. They don't qualify. We're having an issue with a client of ours who was fraudulently claimed on someones taxes as a dependent
Debbie Nelson
42:41
Other questions?
Senia
42:46
Thank you
Kelsey Oliver
43:51
Im sorry Debbie if you've already said this. But will we be getting Richards email following this call in order to reach out regarding the address.
DWilliams
44:11
What is the time frame for assisting individuals with this process?
Kristen
44:28
He filed an identity theft affidavit two months ago and hasn't heard anything from the IRS and cannot get in touch with anyone. He has also been denied for Food Stamps and other government programs due to this. Do you have any suggestions as to how he could get this taken care of?
Ty Jones
44:54
What's the easiest way to collect this info for those who don't have access to the internet, do you have an app or should we go to the website?
Brooks Bryant
46:35
There is a mother whose daughter was killed and she was awarded full custody of her four grandchildren. She does not work, and does not file taxes. The children get a SSI check, so she thought that they would automatically get the payment. They did not. What would she need to do?
Ty Jones
47:17
Is there a paper application?
Lee Patterson
47:28
Great question, Ty!
Ty Jones
48:08
Thanks Lee, I feel we need to hit the streets and I want to have the right tools!
Lee Patterson
49:15
Hey Debbie, will you be sending out his email address?
Debbie Nelson
49:54
WE will send out Richard’s email
Ty Jones
50:09
Is it ok to use the same email for multiple accounts?
Brenna B.
50:20
Great Debbie.
Brenna B.
51:13
We've had problems with multiple people using the same email
Lee Patterson
51:24
If the check my status states the check was mailed and the person states they did not receive it, is there a way for the IRS to see if the check was cashed/stop payment/ reissue the check?
Brenna B.
52:30
The majority of our homeless clients do not have access to technology- FYI. Especially not iPhones or Gmail accounts
Lee Patterson
52:34
yes

I have one client who states they did not receive their check, though the site says it was mailed in April. Is there a way to check the status of that payment? Has it been cashed? Can we do a stop payment?
Ty Jones
57:58
We will go to the areas that need these services and help people while we grill out and give away food. Its pretty easy to create a gmail account!
Lee Patterson
59:16
Thank you!!
Lee Patterson
01:00:00
I appreciate him!
Kristen
01:00:29
It's incredibly easy to set up a gmail account. Access is the problem
DWilliams
01:00:45
Very Informative! Thank you.
VhacmsLewisL1
01:00:58
Have a client that payment was sent to child support enforcement from husband's past due payments, could she send in injured spouse claim to IRS?
Lee Patterson
01:01:50
Gmail often requires a phone number which is sometimes a problem for our clients experiencing homelessness. We often use https://tutanota.com because they do not require a phone number or access to a phone.
Lee Patterson
01:02:51
That’s good to know
Brenna B.
01:03:13
We can make email addresses, that's fine. People need to be able to check them. They need access to do all of this
Lee Patterson
01:04:56
You’re right, Breanna. As an FYI, if you’re in Richland Library - all of our locations (except for Sandhills) has wifi that extends into our parking lots and is never turned off. If your client has the technology, and is only missing the internet, they can still logon to our public wifi - free- 24/7.
Lee Patterson
01:05:02
Thank you so much for this!!
Ty Jones
01:05:08
Maybe we can have them sign a form that gives us permission to access their email for them, establish the email is just dealing with the IRS payment.
Ty Jones
01:05:29
Where there's a will ther

01:05:42
