According to MHSA (Mental Health Services Act), we, as clients, parents/caregivers/family members, and community are the stakeholders who have rights to be included in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services. I’ll keep preaching this message to whomever, whenever, and wherever, until we become empowered and start living this reality. OUR VOICES MATTER ALWAYS!😍

Thank you panel for a great discussion and a lot of powerful sharing and information. I think Tiffany’s point of peers/lived experience = consultants is SO relevant right now. Also, that many people working in systems also have lived experience with DV, MH, SUD however it is not always safe to bring that into professional lives BOTH of these point to the need for stigma reduction and seeing people has whole beings with professional and loved experience and knowledge
Michele Nogales
02:10:16
You are all amazing! Please let us know how we may partner with you! Thank you so much to all the panel members for lending your voices to this platform. I'm a DV survivor. This presentation has made me realized that I haven't dealt with my trauma, even though I've been in Mental Health Recovery for many years.

No one should be forced, if it's not voluntary there is a high chance that the individual will not follow through with treatment which presents an even greater harm to them. Starting and stopping medication can be harmful

02:13:55
Thanks, Eve! This is a wonderful event and more like these is needed. My hope is that decision makers will become better informed along with the community it serves. So it’s an ongoing struggle to change perspectives hence the battle for system reform persists. Thanks All for continuing fight!😊
