So true. Here in Texas, they use the standardized tests of 3rd graders & 5th graders - to make estimates of numbers of Prison beds needed.

I show up for Jury Duty. ALWAYS. But as an African-American Woman & a Political Scientist - as soon as they start asking questions like ‘Do you have a college degree? How many?” So Ms. Tami Demming - OF COURSE you will NOT be chosen. Neither am I. And when they ask and find out I teach “Political Science” - I get dropped like… like an 8:00 Calculus Class :-)
