22:00
Pilates 3-4 times per week really have helped my riding!
Sarah Baynton
23:22
This has been amazing! Thank you so much to everyone who has made this possible and given us this fantastic opportunity to learn and develop. I don't think my horse recognises me after these 10 days......I have started to become the leader that Bee has always needed! Parelli has changed our lives completely and I am truly grateful! 😊
SaraleeGarber
23:25
I loved watching Molly struggle with the same things I’ve been challenged with. It was a great revelation when Linda explained that the saddle sliding to the side is due to your hip flexor not opening. I know that is one of the things I have to work on.
Holly Buckler
24:13
ah I need to change my stirrup leathers, they are uneven still...
Jackie Chant
24:14
DRT (dressage rider training) is excellent - so many of my students have made incredible changes in their riding because of doing that!
joannatreweek
24:32
Yes DRT is really good…
lindaweinbaum1
24:40
Linda Weinbaum: When do you advance from the rope reins to leather in the Dressage world? I am the one who asked about the sucking back with the western horse. Bell loves the rope reins ( I am sure are more forgiving than when I use the leather reins.) Bell also is quieter and holds the contact better when I ride with one rein, again, I suspect that I do not give equally for him to step into. Thoughts?
Pam Peterson
24:51
Yes, DRT has been great for me, too
Michelle Housel Smith
27:29
My problem when I ride and video myself is I am not always sure of what I am looking for or at. To me, I never look good. How do I know what I am looking at that is “good” or “bad”??
Heather Paton
27:39
Linda needs an award for the Goals!!
audrey
27:49
You tend to go 'where' you focus, so focus where you want to go ;~)
audrey
28:33
The Goals really give that focus.
Karen Wright
31:38
"Speaking of trains" LOL Molly!!
renate nelson
32:05
Thank you for answering my question Linda 😊 Awesome answer
Holly Buckler
33:14
Oh NOW I realize what that means! lol lol
Holly Buckler
33:44
LOL
terrimccoy
33:53
My LBI mare’s chin will twitch when she’s stressed
Edwina
33:54

KIM
34:04

Holly Buckler
34:15

Billie
35:08
in liberty and horse behavior I watched that and it was incredible to see.
Ellen Valagene
36:35
Ditto! Now I'm questioning my training of my geldings to let me do maintenance of the trains!!
terrimccoy
36:41
Linda, love your sense of humor
Edwina
36:57
😂😂
Holly Buckler
36:58
I love Linda's sense of humor too :) It's great!!
Celeste
37:18
So does sucking tongue mean horse is flooded with endorphins?
Irene
37:35
My TWH does that a lot... even during his farrier time.:(
Holly Buckler
38:09
aw Irene :C Hopefully things will get better, esp with Linda's savvy here :)
ronna
38:26
so multiple yawns should be interrupted??
Edwina
38:30
my horse yawns and yawns even when I go to halter him?
Caitlyn Eliason
40:09
I thought it was fine because my mare seems to pop her lips when we make a breakthrough in her learning, or when she’s waiting for food. but maybe it’s actually tension?
Linda Stratton
40:42
My horse was a laying down horse as soon as I brought her into the arena until a Parelli professional finally suggested I interrupt that pattern! Hasn’t done it since!
Missy Clapp
40:49
Love that: interrupt in a friendly but effective manner
Karen Wright
40:56
But the deeper issue when horses do these things is that there is some kind of stress... right? and interrupting the behavior doesn't address the source of the stress. When it's an old pattern, that's one thing. But what if I am doing something to cause the stress that's causing the self-soothing behavior?
Melita Rogers
42:38
yes exactly Molly, Feel that and isn't it great how forgiving our horses are. Should be a bit more forgiving to ourselves in this matter.
Stevie Jacobson
44:01
That was a great video.
awoszczak
44:26
Molly- would this be same for my horse rubbing his nose anytime we try something new in the saddle? Stop the behavior?
audrey
44:29
That is one of my favorite videos
Michelle Housel Smith
44:44
I think I have seen that, but I want to go back and watch
Anna
47:04
I have the grass eating issue too- especially when riding!
Holly Buckler
47:41
I once made myself way more interesting than the grass when Freddy and three other horses got outside my pasture XD
Holly Buckler
48:07
I just smiled, called, and he came running back to me :) I was more riveting to him than the grass! LOL
Holly Buckler
48:26
I'll never forget that moment
Tricia
48:54
I think it was Pat that said "You just tell me when you want to trot by eating grass".
Holly Buckler
49:32
Or get a massage for relaxation :D
Rhonda
50:31
Totally! Linda did great!

Oooh good to know about the two hands being micromanaging
Jackie Chant
56:36
So 2 reins for controlling the steering if needed using headlights, and then back to short casual rein asap!
Rhonda
57:11
And hold the rein probably with the outside hand, and then you can bring the inside hand into play if you have to, to direct his nose?
Jessie Pigeon
57:36
we usually hold the rein with our inside hand :-)
Holly Buckler
01:00:11
Good ideas!! :D
