Burg was an example of a person with a closed mind and unable to think "outside the box" and what might be created that brings new life to the Middle East. His way of thinking demonstrates what keeps things stuck.

I think Mr. Burg's view is that, currently, there is no clear way of resolving the debate within the Israeli society regarding what kind of state Israel should be, regardless of the occupation it should be. For someone experiencing Israeli politics on a daily basis and quite possibly at first hand, it might be challenging to imagine a different reality.

I for one am glad he is no longer in the Knesset because all he is an obstructionist and only gets in the way of progress. So I am also glad he left.
