Any tips for managing the 4 month sleep regression?
my babies cot is in our living area as we don’t have a second room or space in our bedroom,.
My 9mo is a fairly good sleeper, but when we put her down she wakes instantly, whether it's the first time we put her down for the night or either of the night feeds. We've checked the temperature of the room, she's being given calpol most nights as she's teething and she's now refusing the dummy - I'm running out of things to try
my little boy is 9 weeks old and will happily sleep in his cot during the day for 30-45 mins 3/4 times a day but will refuse to sleep in it at night. he screams whenever I put him in!
my babies cot is in our living area as we don’t have a second room or space in our bedroom. any tips for 3 month baby to sleep (do we need to stay out of living room at night?, but it’s also next to kitchen...)
my little girl got to a point where she was only waking up once a night but since leap 5 she is now waking up a 2nd time. how can I stop her doing this?
Katie @ Mush
My little boy is 10months old and wakes up after the first 45min and then every 3-4h for a dummy a bit rocking and goes back. We put him for sleep by rocking 10min and he falls asleep
my 17 month old is waking a couple of times a night, won't settle without a feed and then wakes at 5am! He goes down at 7 no probs and has 1 nap of aaprox an hour and a half during the day. How can I get him to sleep through and for longer?
thank you for this. I still have a 10 month old early riser so 5am. since your last session I've been putting him to bed early 6.15pm but he still wakes at 5am. any advise? x
since turning 9 weeks my little girl won’t go down to bed anymore. she goes to bed easy between 6-7pm but then wakes 15 minutes later. it takes 2 hours to get her to resettle. how can I get her to bed and know she’ll stay down till her next bottle?
silly question for newborns would you recommend a swaddle or sleep bags for babys sleeping? also I have a worry so it's the end of Ramadan on the day I'm due and I know everyone has a massive celebration and I live in a flat so I worry about the noise that will interrupt babys sleep hoping baby will be fine and just join in with my neighbour's celebrating
I know babies have to sleep on backs but do you have tips for managing sleep for a baby that sleeps better on tummy (when supervised) because of strong startle reflex and reflux. He hates swaddling!
neighbour's celebrating above and beside me. so in unsure how much noise babys can handle. sadly cause of lockdown I can't go anywhere else.
my 16month old son has never slept the whole night. The maximum he has done is 7hours. He will go down at 7.30pm then wakes up between 11pm - 12 am has a bottle of milk and falls alseep again. but will wake up again sometimes at 3am and other times he will sleep through until 7am. Before if I brought him into my bed he would sleep from midnight until 7am, but now that doesn't happen either.
My LO is 20 months old and he is waking up every 2 hours since he was 3 month old, he refuse to sleep in his cot always I'm coesleeping, still breastfeeding, any time he washing up he just find his way to go back to sleep if I breastfeeding him.
I have a 3.5yo and he keeps waking up and sneaking into my bed or just cries for me and wakes up my 1.5yo :(
my LO is 11 months and has never been a good sleeper, she will wake every 2/3 hours, majority of time she will only want comfort from me when she wakes to be able to go back to sleep
any suggestions on double bedtime would be great with regards to how they fall asleep. I get them both to fall asleep in the youngest room but don’t know if that could be a reason he wakes up. I always do bedtime on my own
hello mush thank you for supporting all the mums during lockdown …..
our babies sleeps through. our problem is our 3 year old. he’s autistic and doesn’t go to sleep till 10.30pm at earliest. and keeping him asleep is impossible he gets up 4-5 times a month and then gets up for the day at 5am. we are functioning on around 2 hours sleep each. Any advice for keeping him asleep
my baby relies on his dummy to go back to sleep but I have to put it back in every time this is making me very tired and I’m not sure whether to keep going and hopefully he can start putting it in himself or to wean him off his dummy?
How do you know if they are waking for nutritional needs and why they are using a feed through the night to settle themselves?
my lo is 19months old since 1 week she is getting up evry 2hrs and crying to the pitch
*he’s 4 months old
no idea why she is crying
does anyone have a link to the zoom to share with some friends not on mush yet??
Q: how do you wean a baby off feeding in the the night so they sleep through. my 6m old is breast fed.
my lo is 19months old since 1 week she is crying to the pitch at nights when I assure her I am with her she will stop crying and she is clingy since a week how to handle please help
hi samantha it might be worth getting a weighted blanket but I'm unsure if any good for a three year old but its ment to help with feeling safe and secure
hello, what advice would you give to someone living in a studio with a baby? we don’t have a separate room for baby, our living area is our bedroom. what kind of tips could you give for maximising sleep for baby?
Dolly and Maanav
You are right about a nap closer to bedtime. My 6mo has his third nap at 5.30pm for 15 minutes in my lap while i feed him (the other two are in bed). His bedtime is 8pm and he sleeps much better when he’s had this 3rd nap which surprised me because I was paranoid about if being too late.

My little one (4mths) sleeps from 6:30pm-4:15am... Has a feed and goes back to sleep until 7:30ish .. Is this still classed as a night wake or an early start with a catch up nap after her feed?
hello just joined chat. Is this session just about baby sleep? Will toddlers sleep be discussed too? thanks x
Dolly and Maanav
I tried to do a dream feed but it wakes him up so I stopped doing that.

6mo goes to bed at 8pm, wakes at 1.30-2am for a feed then 5-6am for a feed and goes back to sleep until 9pm OR wakes up at 7am and goes back to sleep at 9am for a short nap. The 2am feed is quite difficult so wondering if I need to do that? Or there’s a way we can eliminate that so he sleeps through until 5am? or is that wishful thinking?
my lil one is about to be 6 months... her day nap last for 30 min 2 times in cot and approx 1 hr in pram. we put her to bed around 7pm.. sometimes she takes 30 min to settle at bedtime and sometimes it's 1 hr. what could we do?
Dolly and Maanav
He’s actually 6.5 months. Had a massive sleep regression at 6 months which lasted a week.
is there an explanation why my baby screams with his Daddy at night?he plays happily with him in day and will go down for naps with him, but at night he just screams constantly
my baby relies on the breast to settle to sleep, she does this for comfort, when she wakes she wants it. how can I wean her off this and help her to self soothe? shes 11 months

My baby is 4 1/2 months. How long would you suggest waiting before intervening in the night?
what are you thoughts on managing sleep regression? is it a thing?
any tips helping my 16month old sleep throughout the night? he’s still breastfed which I’m struggling to get him off
I’m ebf and she will only fall asleep in the breast or in car how can I change this. she is 12 weeks old and I want to avoid bad sleep habits.
My 12-week old boy needs to get regular feeds, every 3-4 hours, as he’s had trouble putting on weight. He now has longer periods of sleep from evening into night (about 5-6 hours) and it feel wrong waking him as he gets upset. What would be the most gentle way to approach this?
Tips on helping a one year old to fall asleep in her cot. We have recently stopped boobing to sleep and it seemed to improve sleep for 2 weeks. But now wakes every 45 minutes again. I’m looking for a next step from cuddling to sleep so that she doesn’t seek me as much each time she wakes.
How can you tell whether your baby is genuinely hungry vs seeing food as a sleep association?
My baby is 5.5 months, she goes down 8.30-9pm, don’t wake up until 3-4 am, but Ince I feed her, she normally will only sleep for 1-2 hours and wide awake. I worry she doesn’t get enough sleep at night. She is not very good at naps during the day either. What should I do to make sure she sleeps enough hours?

controversial question perhaps: I’ve been given the Gina Ford book and Tracy Hogg. What are your views on their regimes? I’m still pregnant so interested to hear people’s experiences
we’re the same as a few other people- he only falls asleep breastfeeding. He sleeps fine at night but during the day will only sleep on the breast.. any advice?
yes same here re day sleeps only if fed to sleep
Same here day time only sleeps breastfeeding,
my 13 week old wakes at 5:30, then falls asleep again at 7 for an extra hour - how would i go about breaking that cycle

Lorena and Sophia Naylor
My baby will only sleep during the day on me. do you have any advice for getting her to sleep in her sleepyhead please.
Katie @ Mush
what if baby can not roll back ? (from tummy to back) would you still recommend not moving them back ?
what if baby moves Ito the top of the cot and every time he hits the top he wakes up
what if you have to share the room? I’m in a difficult situation and still sharing with my 14 month old 😞
