Returning to work will be a big one, especially part-timers who are getting 350 Covid to stay at home. Company currently availing of wage subsidy scheme but the part timer will have to work at least 40 hours to come up to this amount......we are getting excuses such as too risky, don't want to use public transport, living with elderly parents and so forth...…...thanks
I have a staff member who was on holidays in Poland at the time of the shut down. What can I do when its time to return to work but they cannot get out of Poland
If you are 'open' from June 8th following all guidelines, social distancing, health & safety etc... can you insist that employees return to the place of work?
Employees working full hours getting their full net pay, on the wage subsidy with a top up, will be liable for additional tax and USC at year end. What are the employers obligations here in that the employees net pay is actually reduced.
If employees are on the TWSS and are getting a top up from the employer, can they be asked to do some on line training for a few hours during the overall time they are on TWSS.
What level of cover should you have in insurance for home working?
Also, as this is a fluid period, how do you define the duration of same?
Can you confirm that Annual Leave is not accrued while on WSS ? surely they are still an employee on the payroll?
Great information, many thanks.
