Hi all. This is weird.

all good now.
Face coverings should be worn indoors
gloves and masks are double-edged swords. wearing them can increase transmission if not used correctly
are baby wipes acceptable
What about the toilets?
soap and water is better
Toilets will be open but limited numbers in the club house at a given time.
What about notification of notams
soap is not disinfectant is it
Soap breaks down the structure of the virus
soap and water is the most effective tool for killing the virus
why don't we let Wolf do presentations and keep questions for end?
When do our winch drivers come out of the furlough scheme?
Thanks very much Wolf, and to the rest of the team organising this!
what are the plans for two-seaters?
Kate and Pete
We will try to arrange a winch day fairly soon - more news tomorrow and watch out for emails.
What are the requirements to operate the winch?
The virus has a fatty (lipid) surface apparently, so soap disables it according to a virologist I heard talking about it. I think he said any detergent or soap will do the job.
Washing up liquid is full of salt.
should private gliders be retrived by club mules or left to pilot to use own tow out gear
Evan has offered to do the winch driving ......
Thanks for volunteering him Jono!
So practically no dual flying until people can be tested or there is a vaccine?
I will be having words with you Jonathan
have you had a positive covid test and recovered?
Can we isolate the front and back of a two seater\/
this doesn't mean you're immune
how about the open t31
Not possible to do dual at the moment.
Can I suggest a soapy water guideline or some might use harmful solutions.
We don't yet know for certain that that would make you immune..
please do the member survey where we are gathering attitudes of what people will be prepared to do under the present restrictions
its okay if you drink bleach first?
in the short term having recovered is probably sufficient for immunity!
only if you have bright orange skin
What do people think about remote check flights with condor and screen sharing and audio link?
member survey at this link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd_3jYYnLGBxe610--5ZdhwwfthqotQ0CbH_LXNwdIKBhmqTA/viewform
Local soaring only, or is XC allowed?
Washing Up Liquid contains a lot of salt. Not good around electrical equipment. Better to use diluted liquid soap.
condor is suitable for some things, but it's a fairly poor substitute for things like aerotowing. i'm sure kate will be talking about that tomorrow
Kate and Pete
Sorry, wasn't watching - yes, I will.
Can we learn anything from what has been happening south of the border?
Don'r come on Friday unless you have already booked as it is now Full.
Jeff: Yes. Do not travel to Durham unless you have a small child and a large Range Rover
if anyone wants a quick look at the booking form and Daily list let me know
will there be zoom breifings so such like?
How do you know if your request to fly on Friday has been granted?
It's going to be wonderful weather on the weekend! Thermals …
Condor: I agree about A/T, but it may be better than nothing. It would allow someone to do a pretend flight whilst talking through things with an instructor
Will the limit of 30 people change
will there be a time limit for club aircraft flights
unmute everybody... UH OH!
Bad move lol
thank you Wolf, everyone.
what is going to happen with gliders requiring annuals ?
Looks like an easterly on the weekend.
Kate and Pete
I'm having trouble with my mic. I'll be around for all the first few days. We'll be allocating roles in the morning and deciding the day's plan.
can we fly the k21 solo
In Germany two-seated flying using face masks is possible again already. So maybe there is a chance that it won‘t take all too long before we can do that again here as well.
Yes. We are not in Germany :-)
Hopefully it comes quickly.
Kate and Pete
A lot of these questions will be covered tomorrow.
just being positive!
Thanks Wolf, Very helpful
Thank you Wolf.
thanks to all the hard work gone into this. well done.
thank you Wolf!
thanks all and for all the effort in working out the plan
