Perhaps some of this valuable information should be shared on the publicly accessible part of the NOAH website instead of being reserved for members only.

01:13:08
Good afternoon all, I am introducing a highly skilled media innovator Eric Hansen we want to make a pitch to anyone needing tools to gather audience!

01:13:58
I’m back online!

01:14:21
UF repository is: https://arts.ufl.edu/sites/creating-healthy-communities/resources/repository/

01:14:27
Welcome back Amy! And, yes, Anthony that is something to consider.

01:14:47
Thank you, Juliet, for the introduction!

01:14:48
This is a video that introduces some of the online Art courses SpecGraphixEDU currently offers online including Graphic Design, Video Production, Game Coding, etc… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5CryIdUKxo

01:15:34
Would a cross generational initiative be helpful within the NOAH membership to offer tips and tricks for those who are less versed in technology?

01:16:05
Major Action Items Amy Discussed: 1. Create government advisory brief(s)2. Create concept brief (primary audience would be the public health sector, but this document will orient people to why and how arts and culture can help)3. Establish collaborative group focused on “Cross-generational Arts for Social Connection”4. Establish collaborative group focused on Arts in Support of Healthcare Providers (supporting healthcare workers and systems)5. Create a conduit for CDC and other Public Health organizations to link with artists (local and national) giving online concerts or building major online presences for health communications and messaging

01:16:26
@Hearts Need Art - It is definitely something we are talking about. Envisioning an artist development tool.

01:16:50
Major Action Items in progress Amy discussed:1. Create Resource Repository (the repository is up and ready to be populated - help with populating and dissemination will be needed)2. Evidence-based Framework for Using the Arts in Public Health (this framework is completed and in design; website will go live on Friday – help with dissemination will be needed)

01:17:01
is anyone else working with health humanities education with med students?

01:17:08
Thanks so much for this, Amy.

01:17:08
@sara brown- we'd be happy to help with that

01:17:35
@Gina - I am. Work with surgery residents.

01:17:54
we work with folks in nursing homes and hospice.

01:17:58
@Hearts - I'll reach out in the next week.

01:18:13
@sara perhaps we can talk offline.

01:18:22
Marete Wester (Americans for the Arts) and Deborah Cullinan (Yerba Buena Center for the Arts) are who to contact if you’re interested in helping with Legislative Action

01:18:33
@Gina and Sara - I am working with psychiatry residents

01:18:44
Hello all, this is a collaborative web art app that I am opening up to all Noah members and those they serve. This is free. People can use anonymously or not. Please share with anyone who needs access too art, no matter the skill level. This really can help. https://paint.team/heroes/

01:18:57
WE have onsite programming that’s been canceled and 30+ hospital programs that are suspended. All our artists are consultants, not employees.

01:19:21
Our arts in health community hashtags: #ArtsResponseCOVID19 #ArtsResponseC19 #ArtsforCOVID19 #NOAHCreativeResponse #CreativeResponse

01:19:44
Thank you @kelly Sullivan! Very cool!

01:19:46
@Stephanie - awesome. I will make a note. Have you submitted the volunteer survey?

01:19:52
@Stephanie @sara let's chat

01:20:22
@Sara - could you please resend the survey?

01:20:44
Volunteer survey coming next, here is our membership survey - please take this survey so we know how to serve you better! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/member-survey-march-2020

01:20:56
What is the Volunteer survey for?

01:20:57
The Creative Center has been sending twice weekly “Special Edition” newsletters filled with art activities and “artful reading”. Email us at info@thecreativecenter.org to join our mailing list or go to our website: www.thecreativecenter.org. We also have compiled lists to help freelance artists with financial need.

01:21:46
Volunteer survey is *not* a commitment, it's more a way for us to keep tabs on contact methods and interest.

01:21:46
Lots of Facebook postings every day as well.

01:22:11
Will these links disappear once this call is over?

01:22:13
The Artwork Archive team is also creating and sharing resources. I JUST wrote this article: https://www.artworkarchive.com/blog/meditations-to-ease-the-artist-s-mind << Meditations to Ease the Artist’s Mind

01:22:30
Volunteer survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/volunteer-interest

01:22:33
still don't understand purpose of volunteer survey?

01:22:49
@Mark - the chat is recorded as well as the video and will be available on the NOAH website in the upcoming days.

01:22:57
thank you

01:23:10
We’re compiling resources here: https://www.artworkarchive.com/guides/covid-19-artist-resources

01:23:10
I just got word, that Jenny Lee can be the liaison between NOAH and UF…you can contact her at this email and she can continue to come to these meetings in the future: jlee@arts.ufl.edu

01:23:29
@esims - with the large group of these calls, a funnel has been helpful in making sure I can contact people directly.

01:23:55
To honor our healthcare workers, we are asking the community to ring bells. Particularly those with tower bells or any organizations that are able to safely ring bells out of doors are able to participate and play as a collective instrument during hospital shift changes. If any organizations wish to join, please let me know. Here is a link to a video - https://youtu.be/Xv1lEl5tyAs

01:24:06
I have a lot to share regarding offering art classes to patients and kids online. We’ve already begun doing it in Brookline, Massachusetts and it was a huge success. I’d like to share more about that. My website is www.bnsbc.tv/sgedu

01:25:30
Curious, where does credentialing stand for AIH professionals to be considered an essential healthcare worker.

01:25:33
@katie and @specgraphixEDU - thank for sharing!

01:26:35
https://paint.team/heroes/ please share with anyone who needs it.

01:27:34
Oh that’s great news cause I bet there are many of us in Erins position

01:27:46
If we know of online resources that are not yet listed in the UF resource list, who do we email these suggestions to?

01:28:20
@Wendy, you can add them yourself! If you go to the site there is a “Add New” tab for you to add yourself

01:28:31
https://arts.ufl.edu/sites/creating-healthy-communities/resources/repository/

01:28:52
Okay great thank you!

01:29:00
So many of us are doing the very same thing

01:29:27
I am in the UK - I am working with the hospitals to employ two artists on each ward as 'communicators' . they will use their creativity at the same time as being a link between families and patients as all visiting has stopped. They will receive training to support them.

01:29:57
Sounds fabulous Prue!

01:30:43
Erin and Eric are going to inspire us to get ready now💥

01:31:03
not all of us are on facebook

01:31:26
Members can also share events and blogposts on the website :)

01:31:51
~busy busy times!~

01:32:10
I highly recommend visiting Art of Health and Healing on FB

01:32:33
I second what @Juliet said

01:32:36
Will all these URLs be sent to participants. Hard to capture here

01:32:37
Great graphic @Eric!

01:33:06
The chat is recorded as well as the video, so all links/discussion will be posted on the website in a couple of days post-forum.

01:33:50
Systems are difficult and sometimes can be hard for outsiders to tap into. Institutions can be rather nuanced..

01:33:51
Thank you!

01:34:37
That's the national notification @Carrie was talking about

01:34:46
Thanks Constanza!

01:35:12
Thanks, Costanza!

01:35:44
Claire - I'm happy to tlak about the progress we're trying to make at our hospital with using streaming channels to return arts to the hospital - but having to NOT use zoom bc that has been designated for telehealth. Our MTs are using zoom to conduct 1:1 therapy sessions right now, and I'm looking to maximize the potential alt channels that exist, like the chaplaincy program's tv channel - to create and deliver content to our patients and staff at our hospital

01:36:28
I’ve been using Zoom to bring art classes to my art students as well as setting up Zoom classes for my seniors & dementia care residents in senior living facilities and

01:36:29
If NOAH were to deploy a mutual aid survey for artists, what questions would you recommend?

01:37:08
Its been a slow go.

01:37:17
Also, any suggestions to alternate platforms to Zoom, given that so many programs are relying on it now?

01:40:17
we are able to use Zoom in our hospital bc we have a HIPAA compliant "channel" - I can't explain it more technically than that though

01:40:30
I can also share a platform that Children’s Hospital Colorado is using to share their art with patients, families and staff: https://www.artworkarchive.com/profile/chco/collection/chco-sculpture-scavenger-hunt

01:40:43
We have a bedside storytelling program at 2 of our hospitals and have been talking about offering a "storyteller by phone." Has anyone been connecting to patients via phone? We are trying to work out the logistics without overburdening nurses.

01:42:25
Is anyone here connected with bedside arts, medical humanities? I'm hoping to get a series of "podcasts" essentially up and available on the in-room TV system, and want to offer the option of a guided visual art option (not creation, but using the act of viewing therapeutically) as well as the shorter form recorded music by our artists

01:42:30
We too are looking into how insurance will be covering our Telehealths with Children’s therapies. We do not know yet if we can increase the cadence of our appointments. We’ve been using VidyoConnect. The therapist can include/invite others on the Telehealth. Might be a nice way to bring in the arts into the home and along with the therapies

01:43:01
For HIPAA the patients may join a live feed event and be seen during the event but I believe it is important that the facilitator disables recording for all.

01:45:25
Gaalen, we have a dedicated patient room storytelling tv channel with a 12 episode video program called Healing Moments that features storytellers. It has been easy for our AV guy to create this new channel and input the program with an MP4 drive.

01:45:59
Spread it virtually?

01:46:08
I would love to hear more about that, Deborah. I want to advocate for more hospitals doing this, eventually!

01:46:21
@Deborah and gaelen, I would love to learn more about this too.

01:47:45
Deborah - thank you for sharing this. I believe the in-room TV has room for us to upload mp4 as well - I think I'm looking at Panopto as something we already have in place that the med ctr was using to livestream meetings and its' this platform that I' hoping to maximize for adding other types of capsules or episodes for arts int e hhospital

01:47:50
I also how we “enter” patient rooms. Social media can be the vehicle. Everyone is on their phones. Can we share creative prompts and create community via FB & Instagram? Children’s Colorado started the hashtag #hereartheals on their Instagram and they are using it to spread the impact of the arts. They featured my story with my son and our relationship with the art collection.

01:48:13
I'm happy to share more. It's a prototype that the creator, Jimmy Neil Smith (founder of the International Storytelling Center and National Storytelling Festival) produced and would like to customize for other hospitals. It features nationally known tellers as well as some of our volunteers' and team members' stories. I can send you episode samples if you'll send me your email addresses.

01:48:31
this is a great idea…

01:48:45
for anyone who wants to know how the plan for artist on wards develops my email is prue.thimbleby@wales.nhs.uk

01:48:49
Oh my goodness, Katie, that is beautiful.

01:49:01
Love the bell ringing during shift changes.

01:49:10
tearing up

01:49:15
That’s beautiful. Love the bells

01:49:23
We can advocate for this on community links, like Next-door...

01:49:43
For info on the Healing Moments storytelling channel, you can reach out to me at Deborah.Lowery@balladhealth.org

01:50:01
love the bells too

01:50:09
We have a form on our website where people can write a note of encouragement to our nurses. We can then send those notes virtually to the hospital.

01:50:21
Here is a link to the video we developed: https://youtu.be/Xv1lEl5tyAs. Feel free to reach out to me: healingarts@carilionclinic.org
