Is the state now going to require all EMS to be vaccinated to work?
ASalgado
43:45
Where can we find the Fact sheet in spanish
Heidi
46:45
The slides for this presentation will be available, along with the recording, shortly after the presentation. We usually try to do this in a couple of days.
Heidi
47:43
@jphillips--that is interesting information
Shari Handley

Do we know whether persons who receive a 3rd dose due to immunocompromised status are likely to also need a booster?
Julie Yaroch DO
51:17
Are we able to enter the 3rd dose into MICR?
Heidi
51:26
@Doug Pratt--at this time we have not heard any information regarding the vaccine being required for EMS.
Heidi
55:22
@Asalgado, we have been trying to keep them posted on our website as we hear about translations being updated. You can find the Fact Sheet at www.michigan.gov/covidvaccineprovider You will then go to product specific information and EUAs.

What is the current definition of a medical contraindication for receiving a covid vaccine?
Heidi
58:28
@shari handley--we do not know if they are likely to need another dose after the 3rd mRNA dose is received. We have not heard CDC discuss that yet.
HJ

Is there some place where the medical exemptions are listed so we can verify medical exemptions if they come through for our staff?
Heidi
01:00:05
@Julie Yaroch Yes, you should be able to enter the 3rd dose into MCIR. If you run into any problems please let us know.
Heidi
01:03:06
@Anne Lane This is what CDC considers the contraindication for COVID vaccine: CDC considers a history of the following to be a contraindication to vaccination with COVID-19 vaccines:Severe allergic reaction (e.g., anaphylaxis) after a previous dose or to a component of the COVID-19 vaccineImmediate allergic reaction of any severity to a previous dose or known (diagnosed) allergy to a component of the vaccine. This can be found in the clinical considerations: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/clinical-considerations/covid-19-vaccines-us.html

There have been reports out of Israel on benefits of booster doses. Does anyone have the actual studies from Israel? They have started giving boosters to those over 65.
Dena Kent
01:06:38
so does the same BUD rules apply if vaccine was removed from ultracold placed in regular freezer for 2 weeks then to fridge temps for 31 days?
Heidi
01:07:21
@HJ--great question. For COVID vaccine CDC nor MDHHS have a list for medical exemptions. Nor do we have any type of exemption forms. Due to the vaccine not being required by the State we do not have it set up for an exemption process at the State level. If an employer or college/university has a vaccine requirement then they would establish their own policy and process.
Heidi
01:08:31
@Laurie Amburn We can do some research and add any studies that we find to our follow up email. I just do not have them readily available.
HJ
01:08:43
It is being mandated in nursing homes from a federal stand point. Will there be a list or will it still be up to the employers despite their stance on the mandate as it is federally mandated now?
Heidi
01:09:40
@Dena Kent, GREAT Question, so good that it came up on the Awardee call yesterday. CDC is working on getting a final answer for this one because they did not have that information for us during the meeting. We will share that as soon as we have it.
