What are the opportunities for destinations (Councils , Tourism Associations) to assist the industry recover?

I feel caravan and camping is going to be huge - an outdoor based product, at an attractive price point given there might also be increased price sensitivity - and this would be across all demographics. As someone in the industry; I would love to work closer with destinations and other operators to promote this product and package tighter. Its a great opportunity to capture people in our area and increase length of stay.Any thoughts on this?

To add to Michaels discussion how will destination nsw address the corporate events plus the weddings and events market, the wedding industry is very much alone when it comes to marketing and what we do today is binging in business for Spring summer next year

Thanks; great insights :) I would just point out as well that caravan parks also are a great source of self-contained cabin accommodation - not sure that the CP industry is not doing enough to promote this; often more self-contained than motels / resorts.

i recommend if you’re going to do one thing in marketing, start live-streaming and /or posting videos to FB, they dont need to be fancy or “professional”, just authentic. We stopped our normal FB budget completely, started live-streaming, and have reached 1/2 mill people since we closed our doors, and thats a lot more than usual.
