Right now we're sharing tech some of us have been using professionally and/or with students.

To answer a few questions: takes about 1-2 hours to build a new case. We already have a guide for building cases and a template to start from. We hope to disseminate this soon :)

Webex Teams or Microsoft Teams?

For what is worth speaking to folks who have used Webex and Microsoft teams they state Zoom is more easier to use and more user friendly.

I found Microsoft Teams and Zoom to be pretty similar with usability

On a related note: Do you know if the LCME accept Telehealth to replace clinical encounter?

You can create quizzes, surveys evaluations, polls in microsoft teams that you can send to students and faculty via email link or with a QR code

There are ways to manage assignments and files within Microsoft Teams

Students do need to have some hands-on physical exam practice (some of our students have never held a baby!) - but how much is enough will be the question.

We are piloting virtual rounding with iPads and remote students.

We've been doing something similar w/ our students and have had great feedback.

except the attending and nurse rounds, and the resident team Zooms in

re: HIPAA - if your students can access your EHR remotely, then somebody has already cleared their devices for that degree of remote access, and we were able to work with IT to extend that to the telehealth platform we're using for all patient encounters. Might not be as big of a hurdle as you think (depending on what access your students already have)

We're also looking into letting students access some administrative buildings not currently in use for those whose home environment isn't tech or HIPAA enabled.

I attended the Faculty Development collaborative meeting. I know we were brainstorming ideas for how this collaborative could share ideas with greater COMSEP?

maybe some of these ideas could be in a newsletter?

@Beth - we've been struggling with the sharing piece too, and were talking about creating a special newsletter for these type of ideas. Also trying to think of other sharing folders and such.

We took the opportunity to push for additional space so our residents and students could be together and were successful.

I love both ideas. Maybe an organized Comsep google drive? Less official and quicker to use than website.
