I am loving your Livermore t-shirt. :)

Great point! You MUST tell sponsors/vendors ahead of the general public to keep their trust.

40:09
Thanks for sharing that Donnie

How are Sponsors Responding to Live Events Amongst COVID-19 Crisis?https://www.greencactusca.com/post/how-are-sponsors-responding-to-live-events-amongst-covid-19-crisis

45:54
One point on police- make sure to also get alignment from local law enforcement on what level of social distancing they are willing to enforce at your event. Will they passively hang out in the background or actively be educating patrons on your behalf on wearing face coverings and keep safe social distance?

49:13
Rachael’s farmers market production partner is also experimenting with curbside pickup and delivery at one of their markets via a Shopify store they run that consolidates products from 4 or so of their best vendors.

49:34
Shopify even has a Postmates integration for delivery

49:56
(For serving higher risk populations who want to support local farmers but are afraid to venture out)

51:20
Local farmers' market has implemented no touching of produce, vendors only selecting and bagging items. This is actually how it is done all the time in Germany.

51:52
What about cash interaction at farmers markets? Tokens? Contact free swiping? Apple Pay?

51:58
One of our restaurants here in Thermopolis, WY offers a "basket of produce" every two weeks Pay the $20.00 in advance and then pick up curbside. Does not offer the "socialization" but it feels better than the grocery store.

52:51
Against the law to NOT accept cash

54:31
Great idea to sell them!

55:02
Also if they don’t have the money for that… they are at a shopping MARKET :)

56:06
AMEN! :)

56:37
Yes yes yes!!

57:03
I can’t WAIT to come meet you all in person next year!

59:59
Love love love your personality! Thank you!

01:00:01
One of my favorite signs at a market "Don't fondle the produce".

How are Sponsors Responding to Live Events Amongst COVID-19 Crisis?https://www.greencactusca.com/post/how-are-sponsors-responding-to-live-events-amongst-covid-19-crisis

01:01:51
Ask your sponsorship questions NOW in the Q&A!

01:07:31
Thanks Amanda! We will likely wrap around 10:20, and some of the best nuggets often come out in the final 20 minutes of Q&A!

01:10:47
For our (postponed) Spring Fest in April, we proposed to our main sponsor (A large foundation) to find alternative promotional opportunities, including creating a large branded banner thanking frontline workers, providing editorial content for their projects in our main street section of the community paper, and potential other activities. The agreed to let us keep 75% of the sponsor money to use this year, and 25% will roll to next year and they pay the remainder of the sponsor amount in January for the 2021 event..

01:16:59
At least in California elective surgeries are being permitted to be scheduled later in the summer at this point, keep an eye on that!

01:19:26
My apologies- I have another meeting that just moved up to 2pm. I will look forward to seeing this in the link you send out. Thank you for informative session

01:21:46
We’ll share this afterwards as well!

01:22:42
Please save the link until after the panel though :)

01:23:57
Only ONE person should answer any press questions- typically the ED or your comms person if you have one!

01:34:43
Thank you, some great information and ideas! From Jane in Evanston, WY, SW Wyo

01:36:58
Can we have more Main Street America meetings about event management. So much valuable information in just this meeting alone! Maybe monthly, or quarterly? Just a suggestion.

01:41:00
Great idea

01:42:08
Yes, Tina! Great idea!!

01:42:30
