this will be brought up later - but how will we be engaged locally in thinking about what our role as witness is - as outlined in this draft re: our role in Government: https://elca.org/Faith/Faith-and-Society/Current-Social-Writing-Projects/Government-and-Civic-Engagement

An other thoughts for Pastor John?
Sharon Samoska
48:34
Hello everyone--Sharon Samoska from Waterbury, CT, member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church. The words we hear constantly--The "old normal is gone,' nothing will be the same, there will come to be a new normal. Thee is fear of these words the "new normal." Yet Jesus' walk on earth was bringing us to an evermore new normal. In this community I see the environmental and economic injustice. It is a struggle and challenge to find common ground with our city government and with the reality of the life of the people when the emphasis is upon monetary gain and not human life and creation protection.

Just completed the ELCA Level II Care for Creation coach training last month. I found it to be extremely valuable training on how to empower individuals & teams to reach their Care for Creation goals through relationship & powerful questions.
