During the years that I was growing up, my parents, relatives and others of that generation made negative comments about the nature (biology) of people who were black, I do not hear such comments among members of my family, workplace or community.

hI, I just was thinking abt how Nick Cannon, a prominent well-known Black young man who was lucky enough to grow up through the rough & tumble & make it out OK & pretty mu;ti-talented- COMEDIAN, MARIAH CAREY'S ex-marital partner- {the pop singer} AND "superman" father to their wonderful beautiful kids!!} has now gone thru the mish-mosh of being rung thru the washer, & be branded for life as a racist when all he did was take another dominant group {that happens to line the executive roles in the big Media WOrld/Business of Hollywoood Entrtainment-}in the Metro area {NJ-NY-CT) said a few things that were undoubtedly HURTFUL & a bit ignorant- {see the NYT pprs-TMZ- Entertainment Tonight} & was burned for it by getting fired & "offed". He was booted, YET we have a predominantly racist President, Mr. Trump the current white house resident- who can't even act Presidential ENOUGH- to honor the fact & accept the REALITY bthat BLACK PPL in general, "What do U think of Blk men that are being killed & shot so often?" by

by retorting w/ his very equally HURTFUL & UNDOUBTEDLY IGNORANT, UNEDUCATED, UN-INFORMED REPLY THAT HAS NO STATS OR DATA- THAT "SO ARE WHITE MEN TOO, WHITE MEN ARE EQUALLY SUFFERING FROM THE KILLINGS OF POLICE OFFICERS AS WELL! & HE SAYS IT WITH A PLAIN-FACED, UNEMOTIONAL, DISREGARDING ALL COLORS- THAT WHITE MEN IS THE "SUPPOSED" GROUP THAT HAS SUFFERED TREMENDOUSLY AT THE BEATINGS & GUNSHOOTINGS OF POLICE OFFICERS!! I grew up in a white, blue collar neighborhood with all white, first generation kids in elementary school. In Jr. High I first encountered black kids in class. We had tracks. The academic track was mostly white. The vocational track had the most black kids. Commercial track had many girls.

NICK CANNON SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN FIRED VIACOMM- CBS- BY the predominantly white-run organization {which is accurate if U just lop everyone into the Caucasian category no matter if its 90% jewish or whatever other section of the European-heritage of racial category U wish to see it as.} He was singled out due to the "hurtful slight" dug @ the Jewish cadre of executives I guess?? But there are a couple dozen if not a couple hundred remarks made everyday about Blacks/Spanish/ Other ppl of color- Including the ASIANS who have been plagued for years if not for these past 365 days {just this year} a HUGE SPIKE in prejudicial attacks running rampant due to the fueling of racism against the CHINESE especially thanks to OUR wonderfully racist president {who happens to think of his Scottish-German roots as being superior b/c he does not seem to allow any of the Asian officials who happen to be in his powerful inner circle of govt officers- Like Harvard-grad Elaine Chao? Sec of Transport?

There was just a settlement yesterday about the segregation in South Orange/Maplewood school district.

He doesn't seem to let any of his Asian advisors whom he has done business with & profited off of- for yrs in the selling of his condos @Trump Tower-& in various real estate deals- The fact that he goes on a tirade about how this Covid flu should be tagged the Chinese flu, that China sent a Plague upon us, that the Chinese should be barred from running their companies when they have done nothing wrong. ie: Tik Tok, Huawei, for example. I do not understand why there's no reaction, or further examination of this racist rhetoric that our supposed Preseident who is literally teaching us all- US ALL_ to feel or become a little more critical & racist of every other group out there aside from the white group that he seems to champion, put at the top of the heap & make royale & untouchable from his disturbing, trashy & unfounded nasty remarks about other countries' efforts to contribute to our economy.

I am deeply disappointed, upset, angry that the majority of AMericans have allowed racism to get this far where one more Black man was allowed to lose his life in the manner that George Floyd did - under the troubling stress of being held to the ground with a heavy-handed knee at the hands of a very racist white cop who apparently was not trained well enough to be "taught" NOT TO be racist if he was already a racist. That it's not OK to overtly exact & extract the life out of a colored person- to the extremes that he did, to show us all- How every instance of police misbehavior & "crossing the lines" is allowed to get away with alot of the brutality that we all understand it to be when we witnessed the replay of the video taken of him/George Floyd Taking his few last breaths of life b4 the little life & oxygen left in him- just left & evaporated into thin air. In one moment of crossing the line, & choosing to not withdraw his offensive, aggression towards a man of color - A real life of a fellow human being

My mother went to school in Elizabeth. —Batton ’57 . She had a very good speaking voice and her guidance councilor encouraged to become a phone operator and that she didn’t need college. A PH.D later…my mom never let her blackness define or limit her.

A life was lost.. How are we supposed to account for this racial disparity in the uses of force that Police use upon ppl- & perhaps the choice of Disregard when it comes to Asian ppl- When Asian ppl are under attack from other groups of ppl- How is it right when the cops don't bother to show up or they do not attend to the situation by showing some urgency of action to arrest the perp & crime commiter- Many restaurants & food eateries have been plagued by robberies & crime elements in the prior 1980's-1990's & many restaurant owners & delivery boys {who seem to be all now Mexican & Hispanic- no longer Asian men delivering for their own Asian-food restaurants- A smart move, I guess to avoid them getting their own ppl filled by the random, dum luck of meeting up with the hateful would-be criminals who would act out of greed & violence to kill off Asian delivery men that was rampany in the 80's-90;s. .} No one seems to look at that more closely that racism has plagued Asians too!

So why can we do nothing about a Nick Cannon being fired from what should be an internationally-infused mixed media multi-media multi-=platform major Media conglomerate- that he is being used as a poster Boy to NOT BE OPENLY FRESH with YOUR HURTFUL prickly views of another cultural group- {in this case- about the Jewish} But WHY NOT can WE NOT OUST out of the WHITE HOUSE< or cancel this travesty of a presidency, or HAVE A CORRECTIVE MECHANISM< corrective action that can cancel TRUMP as it is NOT HIS RIGHT to go BALLISTIC on one of our most profitable, productive trading partners in the entire world- China who was awarded the MFN Most favored nation status by our former President George Bush SENIOR- who did everything he could to develop the good relationship that came a long way since the Nixon days. to help us with our GDP & help the Chinese economy become an important partner in our trading activities- WHY can't we reprimand & punish the president for being such a biased asshole towards the Chinese & causi

I have a genetic mutation, so questions about my heredity/ethnicity are relevant in that context. I don’t recall being asked my “race” ever, in medical context. Sometimes religion is asked, and I’d been told that if a chaplain is needed, they want to get the right one. Is that true.

WHy is the republican group in the HOuse & senate going about their daily lives like as if nothing is going on- that there isn't a stark contrast of how other previous Presidents have led with some modicum of decency & this one seems to have no inkling of what modern standards of decency & boundary should exist in conversation/speech/public talks & outreach to our American ppl- Every republican seems to be "mum" & radio silent about how this president is inventing things up to disparage other groups of ppl - to paint them in such a shockingly malevolent light that is so toxic & so putrid that we can't help but be all dumb-foundedly silent & retardedly dismissive of his poor & childish if not inhumane ways of behaving?? Anyone care to answer this general question of why we are so complacent to have him around even though it is just not looking right to the entire International community at large {our Foreign rel. dept could do better: ex: Econ+Trade Relations would be better if he was NOT so racist, ya know.

Thinking about language, could you eventually say something about “minority/majority” terminology?

The propensity of people in the USA (not the only Americans) to quickly describe and thus, lump together various ethnic groups (I.e rather than say Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc. we say “Asian”. Or rather than say Mexican, Honduran, Guatemalan, etc. we say “Latinx or Hispanic”. Maybe the next time Dr. Gaffney, you could also say something about this tendency in our language and how we might deal with it.
